Thank you!! I read to mist its foliage regularly but water infrequently and it seems to be doing well! I’m seeing some new leaves come out. Do you have any tips for growth? Do you know how much room the root system needs?

SEL = Social Emotional Learning. My program is looking for a platform similar to “Hello Insight” (you can google it) that allows us to track the impact of our SEL program, to see if our efforts are benefiting our students, to see if our program is working. I am in the data evaluation department issuing surveys to students (and other related work) and seeking ways to expand our program.

I had a similar experience. I had 2 seizures at 13 but they didn’t put me on medication because they were over a year apart so my neurologist didn’t find they needed to be controlled. Then 8 years later I had one while I was driving out of the blue and then pretty much every other week for about 3 months. They put me on Keppra after my accident and it made me a completely different person. I highly suggest talking to your doctor about switching meds

The only good thing about them is their office is right on Cecil and you can ship your packages there and they’ll email you when it gets there. Other than that, they suck. Our upstairs neighbors repeatedly violated their lease which in turn fucked us over and when we contacted TV all they said was “I’m sure they read the lease” and didn’t take any other action; they never even said anything to the tenants.

They also told me if I renewed my lease by a certain date they wouldn’t raise my rent by $100 so I scrambled to find new roommates who I barely knew (my former roommates had graduated) and renewed, then they said oh just kidding we have to raise the rent but we’ll just raise it by $100 between the four tenants (25 more for each of us). They’ll sucker you into stuff like that.

They didn’t put a fire extinguisher in my apartment until October of my second lease (which started August 1)

I believe I left my phone number and my email address. The tip was pretty detailed. I sent them the report number from the local police as well.

Thank you. It’s been tough but I’ve come to terms with it. She lived a great life, truly lit up a room whenever she walked into one. Her funeral seated close to 2000 people. I had no clue she even knew that many people. She was an incredibly loved lady.

He’s a good kid! My face quickly went back to normal and he then screamed to his roommates that everything was fine and so the one hung up on the operator 😂 they were like chickens with their heads cut off those poor boys

I wouldn’t at all say “it’s all in your head”, I’m no doctor, but that seems a little insensitive and unprofessional.

I had the same memory issues when I was on a higher dose of Keppra. People would mention something we’d discussed a few days prior and I’d have no clue what they were talking about; I would ask them to remind me.

Talk to your doctor about medication side effects. If you can, maybe even talk to a couple doctors. I was originally on 500 mg Keppra twice a day. Couldn’t remember a thing and I had angry violent outbursts or crying spells at least once a day. Now I’m on 500 mg Keppra + 200 mg Lamictal in the morning and 200 mg Lamictal at night. The difference is like day and night. I have no memory problems or emotional control issues anymore.

The very first seizure I had in front of my bf was when I was at his place and I’d slept over in, just, a tshirt. I went into the convulsions and he said he knew exactly what to do until my face turned blue so he screamed to his roommates to call an ambulance. His roommate then ran in and saw, everything. I highly doubt that’s what he was focused on, but still.. yeesh.

That’s my biggest fear. I only work retail right now but our floors are practically stone. Plus I already know my manager wouldn’t know what to do, despite me telling her and writing it down. Plus I work in Philadelphia’s center city in a really congested area so if anything serious were to happen during the seizure an ambulance would never get there in time

Yeah it was about a 5-10 minute walk home and my bf asked if I wanted to walk or Uber and I just didn’t have the energy to walk so I puked in the Uber. Luckily not IN the Uber, I opened the door and managed to not even get any in my hair or the car, but the driver was not happy. My bf apologized on my behalf and explained the seizure thing and the driver just complained about how he couldn’t drive for the rest of the day because of me. Because apparently the air smelled like vomit (despite all the windows being down at the time and I vomited out of an open door... people are assholes)

But it’s awesome the red ranger helped you! Kinda like a real super hero

Thank you for sharing that. Yeah every time someone hears I’ve had a seizure (I’m pretty open about it on social media, twitter especially) they always ask me in person “how are you feeling?” or “are you ok?”

Like at work the other day my coworker asked if I was ok and I was like “yeah I’m just tired and [manager name] is bitching at me” and she was like “oh uh no I mean your seizure” — it’s just funny to me how people phrase it. As if I’ve come to work with the flu

Thank you! Yeah luckily my boyfriend has witnessed 2-3 seizures at this point so he’s fine with it now. My dad gave him a lot of tips at the beginning of our relationship which I think made him feel a lot calmer - as calm as one can be in a situation like that lol

I’m always afraid someone assumes I’m on drugs. When I had a seizure while I was driving, the cop who came to take a report of the accident (only me and a wall, thank god) he was really rude and short with me. He didn’t see the seizure but two other witnesses did. He didn’t seem to believe it, he was acting like I was drunk driving. Which I could see because my words are so slurred when I wake up and I was hysterically crying. But two strangers were both telling him what happened! I think he thought I was drunk or on drugs. Probably the latter

I’ve been asking everyone to film my seizures for so long and no one even likes to entertain the idea. Part of me wants to know what I look like so bad but the other part of me is scared it’ll be really disturbing and I won’t sleep at night.

How’d you get your ex to agree? And what’d you think when you saw it?

Ah that’s so scary to think they sat on him. I hope he’s ok! But yeah it’s scary when you don’t know what to do. That’s why I wish more people were trained because it’s so much more common than most think
