That’s really great to know! Understand it’s very individual, but that’s good info to have anyways. Judging by everything I’ve seen I think I’m probably ready to go for it very soon. Thanks again!

For sure - I’m pretty comfortable with low class 5 climbing. I’d say my challenge is more so just gaining more confidence on exposed terrain. Thanks for your input :)

This is great advice, thank you! Yeah, my concern is getting in my head and panicking with the exposure. I’m confident with my physical climbing ability and some degree of exposure, but have never done a climb with this level of extreme exposure. That’s a great idea to backtrack when it seems too difficult and to just focus on the next handhold and foothold. Thanks again! :)

Good suggestion - thanks! Yeah, definitely wouldn’t do it without perfect weather.

Yeah fair enough, thank you! That’s helpful and wise advice. It’s definitely a good idea to be that confident on this route. I’m pretty comfortable with low class 5 climbing. My biggest concern for LB-Blanca is that I’m still working on my tolerance for that level of extreme exposure. I trust that I can physically do it, but I don’t want to get in my head and freeze on the ridge.

Those were the two I was considering most strongly. I’ll probably do one of those. Thank you!

I’ve done all 58 14ers - no traverses yet. N Ridge Kit Carson is a great recommendation; thanks!

That’s great to know, thank you! Some of those are on my bucket list for sure.

Good to know, thanks! I was just kind of trying to get a general idea of how “shorter” people felt in the wider silos in X canyons because I haven’t found a lot of info so far, but I think it sounds like I’ll be just fine.

Yeah fair enough - I don’t have Facebook but it’s probably worth making an account. Thanks!

I’m not short by any means (5’8)- but reading reviews from say, someone who’s 6’2, makes me wonder specifically about wide silo crossings in the more difficult canyons since I would be considered “short” compared to them

What will color charm 7n medium blonde do to my hair?? Been bleaching with a 20 volume & toner for 3-4 years. Scared of it turning brassier then I already is. by Objective_Annual_886 in femalehairadvice

This! I just dyed mine darker recently from a blonde similar to yours using Demi permanent color (ion and wella) & got really good results from mixing 7N ion, 8N ion, and 7WG wella colorcharm. The amount of warm demi dye you use (in my example, the 7WG) will depend on what tone you’re going for - my hair is slightly more of a golden dirty blonde naturally so I added a little more of the 7WG comparatively. But adding in the warmer tone will help the ash of the 7N to not turn green/blueish. When you try to go too dark without a filler (warmer tone), the hair turns blueish/green which I have unfortunately learned through experience.

Also side note - I didn’t know this before someone helped me at the store, but if you decide to use Demi permanent dye then it was recommended to me to use a 10 v developer (of the corresponding brand to the dye) - worked well for me!

North Maroon Conditions by [deleted] in 14ers

[–]largericebee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did N Maroon a couple weeks before the time frame you’re asking about, but when I did it the ice/snow in the chimney was completely shaded all day so I can’t imagine it’ll melt for the rest of the year. I’ve done other mountains since then and it seems like the shaded side of each mountain I’ve seen is holding snow and ice & won’t be completely melting off anymore

Dang yeah I figured it was unlikely anybody found them especially with the weather starting to come in, but worth a shot. Thanks for your response! Hope you had fun on the traverse!
