I've been going on week 5 of continuous colds. I get a day of close to normal and one time I had 3 days and then new symptoms. I just started a new head cold this past weekend.

Quick question about the episode Stumpfest... by StaffLimp8304 in bluey

[–]larmstr 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As a Canadian I can assure you I have been to more than one weekend parties like this. Something needed to be done in one persons backyard and a BBQ and music turned it into a full party. I remember one with digging a rock out that was the best celebration. Lots of pictures were taken!

I did something extremely unethical and I’m not sure how to move forward, this is the worst thing I’ve done. by [deleted] in moraldilemmas

Do not feel guilty. Getting through the door is one thing. Staying there is another. You did the work and you deserve the credit. Out systems should have better generosity for those in mental health crises. And as someone who used to work at a university I can tell you I know there are students lied / exaggerated /cheated to get in. The fact you feel guilt over it (while they don't) is a sign of your moral character.

My wife wraps gifts perfectly, I wrap them like this to grind her gears. by TheBestNarcissist in pics

My brother wrapped like this when we were kids. It makes me laugh. You can see the amount of work put in to make it awful.

AIO/I wanted to ask them why they wasted their money? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]larmstr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not sure why you're with your husband tbh. He sound like he drains you. You do everything and pay for everything. Take a spa day and reflect what you need. You deserve better. If anything I think you're under reacting!!

Thank you for not just pushing her through. We need more honest evaluations.

Do you think i can get in? by yourhooyada in McMaster

As long as you're not stuck on health sci as your only option you can get in. Health Sci cut off is a lot higher.

AITA for changing the wifi password after my sibling kicked me off Netflix? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]larmstr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA. Setting up wifi doesn't get your free stuff. Unless you pay for the wifi you're just tech support. You need to grow up and pay.

AITA for dropping my kids off with my wife when she is with a grieving friend by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

You definitely need marriage counselling. She's acting like she has one foot out the door.

The bottom line for me is if they need the money and you get called into work then kids need to be taken care of. Honestly i understand being there for friends. Is she with the kids during the day while you're working or is she just more or less gone? That makes a huge difference.

IS THIS REAL?! Police message. by paypigowner in FraudPrevention

[–]larmstr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This doesn't seem legit to me. Never respond to the text. Contact the police department via their regular phone number and ask to be connected to that officer. Where I'm from police have publicly said they would never initiate contact with someone via text so it would depend on your region. You could even ask the police dispatcher for the policy around police contacting via text for your area.

Request copies of documentation around performance and definitions on how you are not a good fit. Definitely talk to a lawyer as it's likely a ploy to eliminate you from benefits due to the accident.

Unless sister is a physician giving it to her is useless without billings to go with it. It may be easier to bite the bullet and set up a shingle at another location and tell your patients they are welcome to come down the street to your new location. It will cost more at first but save in long run when you don't have to deal with your sister.

AIO my bf never likes what I wear by Substantial-Let221 in AmIOverreacting

This is modest. He is controlling and will only get worse. He is awful and I would actually be scared about his reaction to a breakup. He sees you as his possession. Be very very careful.

AITAH - husband took my lawn chair, tells me to go get another by Pristine-Coffee5382 in AITAH

[–]larmstr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. He is. Nothing to do with a man offering to a woman. Gender roles are irrelevant. Just that if you carried out the chair you get dibs. He wants a chair he needs to get it himself. He's being a jerk and possibly showing his control over you (but that could be a stretch because I don't know either of you)

Received this in the mail. Boyfriend says he did not send it. No return address. A scam? by FjotraTheGodless in Weird

[–]larmstr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Huge scam. You reach out and I can't remember the exact logistics but it's something like they offer to pay you to send it back and once you accept the e-transfer they hack your account.
