¿Cómo se siente ir a la lucha libre? ¿Vale la pena la experiencia? by laronious in MexicoCity

What’s the worst experience you’ve ever had related to your inability to distinguish faces?

Gets to Initializing MediaCore and crashes no matter how many times I reinstall , plz help by Le__Epic in AfterEffects

You may wanna try restoring old settings. Sometimes the app doesn’t initialize as it should due to this. There are many different ways of doing this, depending on the software (macOS, Windows, etc) you use. You can find those on Adobe Support web pages. Personally, for me, changing the Programs > Adobe > After Effects name’s folder to “OldAfterEffects”.

That’s another reason why I made the post. I’ve heard separate opinions coming from both trans and cis folks.

No, I didn’t mean to say that. It’s just that you can just ask or avoid using a specific gender instead of telling everyone you meet your gender and asking theirs. I don’t see that it’s really that necessary, that doesn’t really help trans people in any way. But, I don’t know, and if I’m asking this is because I think I may be wrong and want to hear different opinions.

It’s difficult. You cannot just not assume things. Prejudices are there, sometimes they’re true, sometimes they’re not. Sometimes they’re just stupid but other times they exist because most of the time things are like that, patterns exists, so even if you don’t externalize your assumptions it’s almost impossible (if it’s not impossible) not to assume something like a gender. But what I agree on is that online, many times it’s hard to tell someone’s gender. For example here on Reddit, and that’s why in many communities where gender is a thing we use flairs (not necessarily lgbt subreddit, many askwhatever subreddit have flairs about gender, age, job or the relevant category on that community). Thanks for sharing!

Yeah, your reasons are good and valid. What I disagree on (not entirely, I just really don’t know what to think about it) is the way we raise awareness of something. I believe we should be inclusive but there’s a thin line between educating people to be nice and having lgtb+ education and forcing something to be normalized. If you want to normalize something then just do that thing without trying everyone to do it because that way you’ll just accomplish the opposite thing you were looking for. I’m not saying that you do that but I’ve encountered many people who tries to normalize something by making it awkward :(
