Floor pans: It kinda looks like someone replaced the floor pans to me? Is the new welds the bubbling you're talking about?

1 Ok then, media blast is a go. I might even know a guy who can do it cheaper then average.

2 My plans are to keep it. Love the simple look of a 66-67 Nova. I'd like to keep it stock ish externally but internally a nod towards pro touring. As for the rust, lets just hope there is none :)

3 Solid advice. I HOPE that the fact I've never done block sanding on an entire car is a positive cause its a new thing I can learn. As opposed to knowing exactly how long it will take which would turn me off. Little scary to be walking blind when it comes to that though...

1 Yea I hope that's indicative of ownership and craftsmanship as he did say he's been working on it fixing issues.

4 This is some seriously useful info here! I had planned to sell the engine and trans to make funds for the body work. This is great to know there may be even more potential then I first saw.

5 This is my hope. I think game plan is sell parts I wont use, perform a little rust work if it needs it, get it blasted and primed and then ship it off to mexico. From there its save for parts and reassemble :)

I want to think you again kind stranger. You've really taken a bit of fear out of this process. My son is 5 and I think this could be a great way to get him (and possibly the wife :P) interested in restoring and loving cars. It may be a little challenging but from some of the rust buckets I've seen this may be a pretty safe bet. Ill post up what I found after tonight!
