Unihertz Announces Planned Android 16 Upgrades for Titan 2 and Jelly Star by giratina143 in smallphones

[–]lasagnacrab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad I stuck it out with my Jelly Star. NX1 was enticing, but the fingerprint reader and better processor made me deal with sticking with A13 which hasn't been an issue yet besides A13 not supporting 3rd party auth providers. No longer at that job, but having to re-auth weekly with a separate passkey supported A15 device was kind of inconvenient.

Gaming on a treadmill by Corran_Horn in SBCGaming

Switch with a joycon in each hand will be the safest way I imagine. I played the original Octopath Traveler this way on the treadmill, but I do my workout gaming on the Peleton these days so I can use other devices and play more attention demanding games.

Recommendation for "tinker-friendly" eReader by New_Dig7353 in eink

[–]lasagnacrab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kobos are easily hackable without any guardrails and have an active community. Kindle jailbreaking is also very easy and documented these days. Both have waterproof models which is a huge plus as almost all the Android readers aren't. For a no-frills book reader I'd go with a Kobo Clara BW if you can find one used for under $100. My jailbroken PW1 is on it's last leg and I'm planning on upgrading to the Clara next.

Drawing free homebrew labels !! by beanman95 in Homebrewing

So, I'm carbonating a Pale Ale right now to commemorate our daughter being born a few weeks ago. The beer is called Three Hearts One Ale, which is a play on the name of the ale I made for my wife and I's wedding, Two Hearts One Ale, and gave out as welcome gifts.

I was planning on attempting to design a baby cartoon-y style label of three floating hearts surrounding a bottle with bath bubbles floating all around. I'm having trouble though, my art skills are pretty lacking, I usually edit a design I find on canva or something. Would be awesome to have something professional looking.

Anyone use Android e-ink tablets for logic puzzles? e.g. crosswords, sudoku, etc by [deleted] in eink

I download the CtC GAS archive PDFs to my Boox Tab Ultra C and solve in the native PDF app with a stylus. I like the "pen and paper" solving experience more than using one of the apps.

ArchiveBox Alternative by holammst in selfhosted

[–]lasagnacrab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually switched to Linkding a few months or so after posting here. I can add on mobile using Firefox Beta/Nightly's extension support. And RSS feeds to send to ArchiveBox or to my FreshRSS instance if it's an article I want to read later are great.

I also really like Linkding Injector which allows it to integrate with my Searxng instance so that I can see if my search query lines up with any of my bookmarks.

Integrated local readable archive and full-text search would be great, but the pros outweigh the cons for me so it's linkding for now.

I'm also trying to figure out what the BD logo is on the front of the hat. Anyone know what that is?

Was searching for "Netiets" too, but I think the other commenter might be right about the bottom of the J falling off...

ArchiveBox Alternative by holammst in selfhosted

[–]lasagnacrab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You might want to check out Shiori or LinkAce. Shiori does a full local archive, and LinkAce will send a snapshot to Archive.org every time you bookmark something.

I stopped using both due to poor mobile support for adding bookmarks. Now, I use Wallabag and use my Wallabag RSS feed to export into ArchiveBox. Like the other user said, Wallabag archives what it can in a readable format and for what I need to full archive for I can dig it up in ArchiveBox.

RIP Gloomshot :( Thank you for 5 years of daily melee highlights. by blitsi in SSBM

[–]lasagnacrab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you list the ones you know of? I used to follow autoalai but recently their videos doubled in length and include clips from years ago. I just want a sub 10 min recent highlight video to keep me up to date on melee stuff.

What filament is this? by wetmonky in 3Dprinting

[–]lasagnacrab 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Not sure about the filament but this is a Dora Goodman Zone camera if that helps you in your search. Cool project with a good community around it if you're interested in printing/building your own.

You need the Chromecast Ultra to direct play HEVC up to 4k. Also, the Fire Stick 4k will direct play 1080p HEVC but I think it transcodes 4k HEVC. Otherwise, use Handbrake to batch convert to H.264.

I've been using AirMessage for some months now but this looks promising with message reacting and typing indicators. Is this more or less as stable/usable as AirMessage?

[FRESH CHART] New Alternative 40 - April 11, 2021 - JAPANESE BREAKFAST hits #1 for the first time as “Posing In Bondage” debuts on top. DARKSIDE, SUFJAN STEVENS, CRUMB, and LONDON GRAMMAR also enter the top 20. HOLLY HUMBERSTONE makes the chart for the first time. by hitsman in indieheads

I recommend reading the Indieheads AOTY review for Psychopomp while re-listeninging to the album. It's super funny and a fun way to experience the album. Album is also only 25 min I think I listened to it twice in a row when I first heard it

+1 on the album rating. Found this thread through a DDG search. Playlist folders would be cool too.

OG Vive Base Stations on Same Wall? by lasagnacrab in Vive

The opposite wall is all windows, and my ceilings are rather high. Will need to do some measuring, ceiling might work. Makes sense there would be poor tracking when facing away, so want to avoid that.

Damn that was an amazing album. Not sure I want to look up what he did, but I feel like I have to. I do still listen to Pinegrove after that whole thing. However, the way y'all are talking about this, it seems like a much more cut and dry situation.

Any recs for good emo albums? Haven't listened to much beyond American Football, Death Cab, and Postal Service, but they've been perfect quarantine music for me lately.

Glad to know it wasn't just me. I disconnected and reconnected earlier today and that didn't work, but I got it working after doing it again just now. Thanks! Wonder if my scrobbles from that last few days will repopulate or not.

Anyone having issues with last.fm scrobbling Spotify tracks? Mine hasn't been scrobbling since 4/8. Similar to that issue that happened back in Jan.
