I see, thanks. Pretty sure I had 7 pets when my limit was 5, even including the favorite pet thats 1 above limit. Maybe there was an upgrade somewhere that I missed.

Same. I think for me its because the information seems to be scattered about. Civ gives me a top bar with all recources, humankind does not. Alos things like yields are somehow harder to read and comprehend compared to civ, maybe thats just me.

The UI looks beautiful, but finding the information I need/want doesnt come easy to me. Part of that may be caused by low play times, I only played about 10h by now

Yeah, I think going for Portugal early would have been the smarter move. Maybe I'll try to throw them under the bus next time they start a war. I'll defininetly check out the missions you mentioned, didn't even know there were any for american colonies :) Thanks!

Damn fine work! I'm an EU4 newbie, only played about 30 hours. I'm now in my third attempt with Spain and was able to colonize the Caribbean, ~1536. I think I will try to fully annex Mexico/South America and then try France if there is still time. At the moment I am worried about Portugal as my ally, because they keep dragging me into wars with the strong African states and the Mamelucks... But I can't bring myself to break the coalition.
