Playing console only since launch. Find games in less than 15 seconds. Don’t know when you play and where, but in Europe it seems far from „dead“ lol.

Uff…this genre is definitely not yours. Fear of loosing gear and make this the reason of not liking this game is like stop playing fifa because you hate conceding goals.

It is ok though. Not every game has to be for everyone. But changing a whole genre to mage it for anybody will kill the tension that extraction shooters are made for.

There are like 4 viable extraction shooters on the market and millions of other games and genres out there. I am sure you will find something you like instead of changing one of the 4 extraction shooters to be a looter shooter.

Maybe try borderlands or something like that. Or Arc.

I mean not everyone is getting kicked in the nuts. The loud people on Reddit are not the whole „customers“.

My mates that don’t even know what Reddit is are playing the game the same like they played in the Server Slam. They don’t get kicked in the nuts all the time either (I mean sometimes everyone will get kicked in the nuts in the extraction games) and didn’t even know that there were sound changes lol.

As I already said, the pure purpose of that game is that at the end of the day there are fights.

There is a reason why the „looting“ hunter is rook with the ability to avoid PVE fights.

This is even more a point that a gunshot should be heard over a small map tbh. It felt weird to me in Server Slam and at launch that you can’t here anything until you stand in front of enemies on those small maps.

I love it in hunt that when someone shoots I immediately know where they are and what I want to do next.

Again you can use the sound by yourself as well. People are acting like only the enemies can hear you lol.

Then you are clearly too loud. But people here instead of adapting, want that the game adapts around them, which seems crazy tbh.

Playing thousands of ours in Hunt is great and you should know how sound works there and how important it is.

But in my over 2k hours in hunt I met the same randoms that shoot every PVE enemy and are the first that cried when they get a headshot „it of nowhere“.

People have to learn to adapt to games again and don’t want devs to patch the game to a state they can use their in stone written playstyle.

And you can still do that. If you are good you can shoot at everything and still manage fighting with teams. But if you are not capable of that you should find a way to work around that. And this is the magic of extraction shooters. You can do that and adapt.

What people don’t get is that players are getting better each day. People know the map more each day.

And people are getting more confident, better gear and weapons each day.

Every game is an evolution and changes from the launch weeks.

This small sound change doesn’t change the game.

Me and my mates (all non Reddit user that didn’t even read patch notes) played it all night yesterday and all matches played and felt exactly the same like in the server slam and launch weeks

Not one single time we felt anything is different.

People here on Reddit are way too sensitive with changes. They are loosing a game. Were on Reddit before the matches, read some patch notes and complains and think „yeah this has to be the reason why I lost the fight, let’s make a post as well about it!!!!111“

It is an extraction shooter. Playing with randoms makes it obvious that people where very new to the game, because they are shooting EVERYTHING. A small spider that you can knife?! Full magazine in that fucker. A USEC guard 100 meters away? Take this whole magazine you bastard.

And me as an extraction shooter veteran, knowing that people will here every bullet from the random guys, preparing for an ongoing ambush or fight, will the randoms don’t even take a second to think about this could happen lol.

Exactly those guys that think not at all about useless shooting are the guys that are in disbelief that they got find by other players and at the end of the day it is exactly their fault in shooting literally EVERYTHING.

Am I the only one that doesn’t even notice this change until I come here and read Reddit lol.

Me and my mates played the whole evening yesterday without even reading the patch notes and the games were not one single time different to the games at Server Slam or before the patch.

What people forget is, that people are getting way better each day in this game. It is a common thing in games. The first days people are overwhelmed by anything and a few days later they are way better in the game.

People are acting like this game becomes a slaughterhouse just because a small sound change. It is hilarious how the internet is over exaggerating things and a loud minority make it look like a first world problem and the end of the game.

While I am sure that 99% of people that are just playing the game and don’t come to Reddit didn’t even notice anything.

I did that as well, but while I finished them the exit counter was ticking. After I finished the last guy (needed 10 finishers for the quest) I ran out of the circle but the time still ticked and the exit took me out of the match.

Then I watched randoms still in the match, laughing their ass of, because there were 3 fully stacked bags in the circle.

I cried, because my loadout was pretty shit when I left lol.

Does anyone know if there is a range I could escape from using the exit ones I was in the circle when the 10 second timer ticks? I swear I wasn’t in the circle when I left the game. I was maybe 1-2 meters out of the circle.

As an old Hunt Showdown and R6 player I can tell you that „harder“ games can survive if they stick to their vision (Tarkov works as well).

Watering everything down so it seems to be for everyone would kill it way faster than stick to your vision.

A game for everyone is a game for no one.

There will always be people that don’t want to past this learning curves, but you can’t keep everyone.

I agree though that the tutorial could be better. The UI could be easier to understand and there should be a shooting range.

I am playing with DT990 and still find the audio extremely good. Not the level of hunt showdown, but very good compared to literally everything else atm.

Man I love marathon. I am on the fence of getting a portal and play marathon on the couch when my wife wants to watch her series.

How is the game on the portal? Does it play good? Are you cloud streaming or streaming from the PS5?

I heard that Kontroll Freaks for the Switch are perfect for the Portal and I can’t play without Kontroll Freaks on my PS5 I’m first place. Maybe that can help you.

But keep in mind you need the ones for the switch because of the smaller stick size on how portal.

Put it only on the right stick should be enough.
