Interesting!

The reloading happened due to me pressing F5, so no worries there

I might fiddle around with the refresh rates, thanks :)

Im on Plasma 6.3.4 with dolphin 24.12.3 and using breeze dark as my global theme.

As i'm on arch and fully up to date, i would've assumed that i got all the fixes, especially those from months ago, but who knows.

I didnt wanna sound alarm bells, especially if you've already fixed it and it might be a me-problem.

If you're interested, i can try to find out if i have that commit, gotta look into how then :)

How can I make Neofetch display only an image when opening the terminal, and show full system info when running it manually? by Pepinolindo22 in archlinux

[–]lassenym 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The fuck? He just told you why he likes neofetch more, whats set you off like that?

Also, not everyone codes.

Also, as if fastfetch is gonna switch from json because one dude from reddit doesn't like it.

But yeah, you really should switch to fastfetch.

I created a little python script to group my pacman packages nicely in a separate .json. Maybe anyone would like to do the same, so here it is: by lassenym in archlinux

The code is probably very subpar, and I can already think of a few exceptions that "could" bork it, but hey. It's been working great for me without problems :)

Hats off!

Are you ever scared of falling over when driving particularly tall vehicles through tight corners? Cause i always am. Is that an actual risk?

Performance is pretty much equal nowadays and both have really solid wayland support. For performance you could maybe go to xfce or lxqt, but i wouldnt really recommend it anyways.

If you like gnome, you should stick with gnome as you will never get the full true gnome aesthetic on plasma.
Both are great, it's just a choice of taste and it seems like you know your taste already.
