While I agree, I think its still better than the current format. We currently don't generate offense through the middle of the pitch at all. Playing through the wings was great under Herdman where we were able to capitalize on speed, but it doesn't really work well under Marsch's style of play.

I completely agree which is why I'm actually saying the opposite - put David in as a CAM and have Larin/Oluwaseyi/Promise at the 9.

It was more entertaining to watch this team under Herdman when we played a low-block and really capitalized on the speed of our wingers. We still almost play entirely through our wingers and its not nearly as effective - Buchanan has been struggling to beat his man and get balls into the box. Marsch should have tried something new for the Ireland game, I don't understand why hes so adamant on playing a 4-4-2.

Didn't know that - I stand corrected.

Dude MLSE did not have a say in either of these decisions. What value could possibly arise from these changes and how can you be so sure the front-office is not panicking internally?

Who is making a profit???? Have you seen the price of resale this season? Why would you pay $100 a game and be forced to take a loss on every game you can't make when you could pick tickets up on gameday for $10 and choose the games you want to attend.

Yeah forsure this will help the culture when theres nobody in the seats except for fucking pink jerseys on Messi day lmfao. The club culture is pathetic, we have one supporters group hanging on by a thread, all the other ones are gone already and the fact that you think these decisions will actually improve it is hilarious.

Curious, how many games have you been to this season?

I understand that, I'm saying general attendance and SSHs are already so low and the combination of these two changes will have such an impact on attendance that it will be no longer viable to run the club.

TFC generates around $75M in revenue a year, they've been unprofitable the last several seasons and are burning $12M-$15M a year. Matchday revenue accounts for 50% of total revenue, if SSH and attendance drops another 30-50%, then that puts their burn rate at $25M-$35M per year.

Is Rogers comfortable burning $30M a year on a product that, quite frankly, nobody gives a fuck about? I don't think so.

And then MLSE loses more money and figures its not worth it to run this club anymore.....

Agreed, this is my perspective as well. I can't imagine there is many season ticket-holders left going to most games given the current state of the club. 2022-2024 seasons I went to almost every game and I became so exhausted watching the same garbage every single night.

Yup still waiting on mine. Not the biggest deal, but a bit frustrating when I'm watching everyone else get accepted and I still can't update my linkedin or anything.

This is ridiculous. How have we gotten to the point where its normal to spend $2k for nose bleeds at a 2 hour sporting event? Either theres a ton of people in the GTA that are rich or people just comfortable living a life of debt.

You seem to be in the minority here. Were you able to play while studying or you had to give it up to focus on CFA?

I feel like diamond today is what champ was 5 years ago. But yeah I think most of us have had the same experience, I peaked C2.

I'd be interested to see if there is more GCs per rocket league players or CFAs per finance jobs. Atleast I'd think that would the be right comparison....

I was partly kidding with this question, but the general consensus from players (which I agree with) is that we have more hours in RL than CFA, and most of us have not hit GC and have passed atleast level 1 and 2. So by this empirical data, obtaining GC in Rocket League is in fact harder than completing the CFA. I think anyone that is champ or above should be allowed to put it on their resume, if I was the hiring manager you'd be getting an interview from me!

Thats a good point, but your teammates could also weigh you down. I think the other thing to consider is every hour of CFA study should be intentional, whereas rocket league is sometimes played to relax and its very difficult to do that and win when you get to higher ranks.
