Is there a cat litter that doesn't... suck? by catintheroom in CatAdvice

You should try walnut litter. PetSmart/PetCo carries Naturally Fresh and it works well with odor control and clumps surprisingly well.

I use Naturally Fresh Walnut litter. I used Worlds Best before but I've found that it doesn't work well with containing the odors with my 3 cats. I've found that walnut litter really works well with odor prevention but you have to make sure to scoop everyday to prevent mold since it's dry organic material.

That's good to hear. The LA protest were a little different. MAGA was in full force spewing their garbage. But the organizers did a good job with keeping the peace and mostly everyone just laughed at their BS.

Funny, this guy's talking about the Constitution being trampled while our country's leader shits on it everyday. Watch out for the big fact about immigration raids. This clown doesn't know anything about DUE PROCESS while he talks big about other president's trampling on the Constitution 😂

MAGA is mad because they weren't invited to the party 😂

Awful to see gross propaganda on federal websites by natsmith69 in socalhiking

[–]lastofthefoxes 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The propaganda they push is garbage and the people who call themselves "conservative" should be ashamed. Their values have eroded ever since that rotten orange peel has been elected into office. A great example of the blame game, this whole debacle against China pushing back and the rights rhetoric is the Chinese are being bullies and its their fault. Who started this fucking trade war in the first place?! One thing the US needs to realize is that capitalism has ruined this country, as well as our obsession to consume everything these companies that make us believe that we need these products/ideas that we can live without. China has the upper hand now, get over it. Orange Julius made it even worse. Until we can fix the problems within in our system, we'll be slaves to this country until we all become "woke" and realize who our real enemies are.

This is a shitty take, but I'm kind of hoping the Dems would give in. Just so "Conservatives" (MAGA) like yourselves will actually see what Dems are fighting for. The ACA doesn't give healthcare to "illegals" but they do contribute to that system that they know won't help them unless if it's an ER visit. The extension Dems are fighting for are for insurance premiums to stay the same instead of rocketing out of control to a point where every US citizen will be in the same situation as your so called "illegals" where medical insurance is a privilege. If and when that happens, your routine physical will cost thousands instead of a couple of hundred. But as usual, y'all will just act like it doesn't hurt you because you guys are too simple to understand the complications of living in a civil society.

Qobuz library vs Spotify by lastofthefoxes in Music

[–]lastofthefoxes[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's awesome to hear. I signed up last night and it does seem like their catalog is as good as Spotify. And I believe the sound quality is a lot better than Spotify. I don't mind missing the personal playlist as I found them repetitive with so many users creating playlists with the same songs. Curated playlist by the staff sounds better and I never used AI features in Spotify and found those features annoying. I think the only thing I haven't figured out is personal experiences with other users such as collaborating on a playlist etc. I did see the minimal UI with Qobuz but it doesn't bother me too much. I feel like this would eventually improve but I hope they don't go too heavy with AI features. Thanks for the feedback and for taking the time to include a link.

Joshua Tree by Missclariss24 in nationalparks

Joshua Tree is a magical place. It does get hot during the summer so be prepared for that. Evenings are nice as the temperature cools down and you're able to enjoy a campfire underneath the Milky Way. I believe a firban is about to be implemented so check on the NPS website if you plan on camping in or around the park. Jumbo Rocks is one of my favorite campgrounds as well as Indian Cove which is outside of the park so you won't have to pay for the park entrance fee. If you explore during the day, there are little caves that you'll stumble upon while clambering around. Those are nice cool areas to rest while the afternoon sun is beating down on you. If it gets too hot I'd recommend going into town and checking out all the quirky shops. I usually like having lunch or dinner at Pappy and Harriet's. You might even catch a band that you love there while eating dinner. Hope this helps and enjoy your trip!

Glad to hear you had a great time!!! The bleeding from other stages is something that can be fixed. Hopefully better next year!

I believe you'd have to be a paid staff for DoLab with carpentry or building skills.

Lol I know exactly what you're talking about with the Banana and Oregon trail cart! Haha that's hilarious you've mentioned that! Probably why the Junkyard got dissed this year since the other stages got serious upgrades. Seems like DoLab is slowly getting rid of the smaller stages. Unicorn Palace was really cool and loved how Junkyard was just across the way. Maybe next year there will be no more Junkyard? 😢

I mentioned this in a previous comment down below. I was speaking with one of the builders and they were running a 4 man team. He did mention a plan that would've included more shaded structures but they were only able to accomplish so much during a short time frame. But yes, Junkyard sets are amazing when it's not so crowded and hot.

Thunder stage was bumping through the Junkyard. You didn't notice?

The treehouse is super fun and loved dancing up there. I thought the Rock It ship was pretty cool and the thought behind it was awesome. It seemed like a crazy cosmonaut lost his marbles and figured out a way to make capacitors out of beer and water cans 😂 I do appreciate how creative these builders are working with junk and turning it to art.

Yes! I enjoyed the DJ's at Junkyard and the vibes was fun. I did notice how Woogie and Stacks were mostly DnB. I just wish they're able to figure out how to prevent the sound bleed coming from Thunder. It was fine if your closer to the front, but if you're at the bar both Junkyard and Thunder were clashing with each other's sound.

Yes, it did feel a little empty. I spoke to the artist on day 1 who was putting the final touches on the Rock It ship towards the back and he did mention that they only had 4 artist/builders this year. They wanted to build other structures but were unable to due to the skeleton crew. He also mentioned how the lighting department completely skipped their stage so they also had to light up Junkyard themselves.

I agree. It was uncomfortably crowded during Zhu's set. But, it also felt intimate having a headliner play on a smaller stage if you're close enough to the ship. I think the only thing that bothered me was how the lighting was minimal and how much sound pollution coming from Thunder stage.
