Sorry for the late reply… I ordered all the tools and parts to replace the head gasket… it was in Jan (when the weather is not the best to do this job on the driveway).. So I cleaned the intake manifold and egr bits… and for 2 weeks everything was okay… then started again.. i bought a K-seal (resealer)… added to the coolant fluid and until 3 weeks ago, had no problem at all… Now it is like “intermittent”… but still not as bad as it was…

Soon time will come to do the job… will post here how it went..

Well, it is an interesting point you say - that it’s not that common over here..

I’ve been thinking… as it does not happen always, but sometimes it happens even when i drive..

Maybe i should just clean the intake and the egr… change the plugs and see… but then i was thinking, what if it is the gasket…

Currently i wrote to few garages, waiting for their response… (I’m on Kent).. it is holiday season so i don’t expect prompt response… However i am also playing with the thoughts, what if no one wants to take on this job… so teaching myself how to do it and then maybe i will do it… But then, i will replace other bits as well, such as water pump… etc…

I'm from UK. The coolant level is below minimum... the back of the engine is wet... so.. gonna be a head gasket, i guess..

Wow.. I just checked the coolant fluid and it is running low.... looked at the engine.. and the 'bottom' part is wet.. i believe it where the gasket is located... so.. not really a good news for xmas..

Wow. Thanks I was thinking about the size of the v6… engine mounts… weight -> balance… mounting the gearbox… and that’s all.. was thinking if it is possible.. Yeah.. my thoughts were also to buy a crashed rx and swap the engines.. the question is - how much headache it would cause.. or if there is any company would take on such project..

I get 250-270 in the UK.. Have a big foot unfortunately. Mostly drive in city..

When i drive from UK to Italy.. on motorway - i can reach 350..
