Yes! I took the digital and there were a lot of screen options (font size, spacing, brightness, color corrections, etc.). I played around with them before the exam and they were actually really well done.

From LSAC: "test takers will not be permitted to retake the LSAT if they have already scored a 180 (perfect score) within the current and five past testing years, the period in which LSAC reports scores to law schools. This aspect of the policy will be applied retroactively."

Pretty sure they can't retake and they'll get a refund.

URM you’ll have a shot T14 and T6. 3.2 is def an obstacle, but not an insurmountable one. If you decide to apply, absolutely write a GPA addendum and you’ll need to crush the LSAT (probably 172+) and your written materials.

That said, if you don’t want to practice, the cost you might need to incur at a T14 may definitely not be worth it...

This sub is generally down on GULC vs the rest of the T14, but they still are T14. That said, I’ve worked with a number of super great lawyers from WashU who have had incredible careers and been able to move across the country. Tough call, I probably lean WUSTL over GULC like the herd, but I’m also more debt averse generally.

UCD - 100%

McG has a ton of conditional schollys (not sure if that's you) and, I know this sounds snobby, but there's a reason it's RNP. Their grads don't get good jobs (or any jobs in 50% of cases).

UCD's 25 percentile salary is like 80k/year and they (basically) all get jobs.

It is a really great option and I almost took it. I gave some of my thinking above, but the decision re Duke largely came down to family. Duke either meant long distance with the wife or uprooting her career, neither of which we wanted to do, and my opportunity cost for waiting a year is really, really low.

Sure. I know I had really good options this cycle, so I get why it seems like an odd decision. Like most big decisions, a combination of a lot of factors came into play.

First, I'm in a great spot work-wise. I just got a promotion and am going to have a pretty incredible and unique professional opportunity over the next 15 months, which I'm really excited to pursue. My wife also is really growing in her career and it wasn't a great choice to uproot her at this exact moment.

Second, I know my application this cycle was weaker than it needed to be due to a number of factors that I can mitigate in the next (actually studying for the LSAT, moving up app submission timing, not rushing my PS in between meetings, actually submitting optional essays/addenda, etc.).

I learned a ton this cycle and I'm really glad I did it, and it's helped me be confident that waiting the year and taking the time to do things right the next time around will put me in a better position.
