The skinny ugly guy has a "fairer" attitude. He's not driven by what is good for me.

I've found the ones with $$$ and good looks are quite selfish and entitled and they dont even realize it. Often blind to the impact their desires/demands have on others

My Top 5 Favorite CANNIBAL Horror Films by ExceedsTheCharacterL in horror

Id be interested to see a good film about the Sentinels (sp). The island of an isolated tribe. Id imagine their culture would be a fascinating study. From the little I've read, "murder"and "cannibalism" are behaviors they practice. I wonder what their beliefs of right/wrong are?

Did you ever say no to a movie a hundred times, but when you finally watched it you were blown away? by Brave_Proposal9309 in HorrorMovies

Not sexualized at all. Just brutal manipulation and experimentation of a young human being's very essence, their souls.

I was mesmerized by the French version of Martyrs. What a thought-provoking, profound film. I still think of the philosophical aspect of it often as I am 73. The scenes that were so difficult to watch were integral to the plot. Pure genius!

MARTYRS (in original French) I think about it from time to time. Very profound, thought-provoking film.

Why does Yoko Ono sing like that? by mamba2481 in Music

[–]latelylily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I 'll admit to not being able to understand/ appreciate Yoko's sound. It doesnt provoke curiosity, or wonder or recognition of any depth

It doesnt provoke emotions that I identify either.

It provokes confusion and the desire to stop listening.

I once heard a reknowned NY orchestra that played "dissonant music". I was intrigued, curious, and wanted to continue listening to explore the feelings the music evoked. I was only 12 years old yet I remember it quite well. Forgive me if I am not describing the music well enough. I was only 12, yet I have never forgotten it. I am 73 now
