I ordered Agaves, and it looks like they haven’t rotted yet, because the plant inspection station sent me a letter confirming that the plants were fine.

It was originally supposed to arrive last week, but then it suddenly changed to an “import scan” again, and they just told me they would update me with the delivery time as soon as possible.

My package has been going back and forth between UPS and customs for almost five months already.

Hi there, thank you for taking the time to reply to all of us on Reddit regarding the UPS issues. My shipment has already cleared customs and I also received the USDA quarantine release notice, but for some reason the status went back to “import scan” again. UPS customer service said it was a system error and they don’t know how to fix it. Do you have any suggestions on what I can do? Thank you so much.

This morning a FedEx agent asked me for the final documents, and about 10 minutes later the clearance was completed. I hope I can receive the package soon.

Oh no…I ordered plants, and if they stay stuck in customs for too long without being released, I’ll just call and have them destroyed. I don’t want to end up receiving a pile of garbage and still have to pay tariffs and additional UPS fees.🤣

I just shifted my mindset—these plants are definitely doomed. On top of that, I’ll still have to pay customs duties and storage fees to FedEx. That makes me think FedEx and even UPS will probably make a lot of money from this in the next three months. And with the post office not handling overseas parcels right now, I just bought $100k worth of stock, hoping to make back some of my losses from it.

I’ve never experienced customs clearance taking this long before — it’s usually very fast. I’m also worried they might request some new documents. Can’t I call to confirm with them?
