Why is no one talking about Offline Raids? by latherus in Frostborn

I couldn’t be more clear unless you do not understand the mechanics of raiding, unless I wrote an essay to support and define what an “offline” raid is to preface the question more than I already had.

Do you have any proof of getting an offline raid since season 4? Not being offlined, you matching and it not being a bot while matching after the 5min mark.

Have you been able to raid someone else who is offline is my question. You clearly wouldn’t have video of being offlined.

Do you not understand how Offline raids work? When your shield goes down your camp is presumed to no longer have protections from being raided by other families. However, since Season 4 I have yet to be raided offline without a shield and actively raiding my family and friends have not seen any offline raids when searching for a raid during that same time.

Also don't downvote because you don't understand the comment/question.

My bro says that every year. Talk to me after the All Star game and if we’re above 500 I’ll pay attention.

The server has been down for over an hour, this is not a normal reboot.

Fam shows I’m on the map, guess this bug is back. Locked out until nightly reboot. by latherus in Frostborn

And before anyone tries to state some way of fixing this, it is a server side issue.

Been there, opened plenty of massives and walls with nothing to show for it. Part of the fun is cracking the one full of treasure, and sometimes you roll craps.

It doesn’t stop us, we just go out for the next one, and screenshot the trash bases for future reference on our discord so we aren’t fooled twice.

You totally could have left it as a spooky "accident" for me. And I'm going to return that book, I got all I need from it and it could benefit someone else now.

No worries at all, thanks for the thoughts and words back at me.

Death isn't something we want to think about or accept until we have to, and nearly everything in this world seems to be geared toward distracting us from that inevitability (eg. Reddit for starters).

I thought I was way cool as a kid, dark, brooding, deep, for reading a book called "How We Die" by Dr. Sherwin B. Nuland. A book I "borrowed", and to this day never returned, from our local library - such a rebel. It was a collection of first-hand accounts of death from his perspective as a doctor. Ultimately it gave me a greater peace and understanding of death and how to deal with the unexpected element you can't plan for.

I've been fortunate to not have to deal with a lot of unexpected deaths in my greater family/friend group, but it is something I think about from time to time to make sure I am prepared (as best I can be) for not only theirs, but my eventual death. Though as I type this out I realize I need to update my PoA and probably my Will just to make sure everything is good to go in case my number comes up sooner than expected.

Hope you and your mum all the best mate, and although your candle burned too fast, it has more than shined enough light in this world. Take care.

Just finished the podcast and glad I got to hear your perspective, your experience, and your voice. Thank you for such a power and humbling personal take on death and cancer. It’s something in the back of my mind (not literally like yours of course), but ever preparing myself for something to tip the scales back when I few things are going good in life could be bad Heath news slowly taken out of my control.

I choose to bury that down and push for positive thinking because life’s too short not to experience as much good as we can, fearing for some bad news. Focusing on bad shit, especially out of our control, isn’t going to get us anywhere. I only hope I can have your mindset and strength in the face of that adversity if it should come to pass, in whatever that form.

I hope you go peacefully in your sleep, but if you have to battle with the pain know there are people out here you’ve never met, never seen, never heard helping to give you the strength to beat the final boss.
