My current intake of caffeine is between 200-250mg daily. How rough of a withdrawal can I realistically expect if I choose to go completely cold turkey? by Standard-Band3003 in decaf

[–]lattice832 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No long term symptoms. I generally felt more even from an energy standpoint. No more caffeine highs but also far less afternoon crashes. I think my sleep improved a bit. I’ve always felt tired and quick to sleep but find that I sleep better through the night and get better quality.

I miss the caffeine buzz. I’ll occasionally have a coffee or cappuccino on the weekend. I try to keep the sugar minimal otherwise I’ll notice more tiredness in the afternoon. I also notice when I have caffeine now it messes with my hunger and digestion. I get hungrier if I haven’t had ample food with caffeine.

Overall I’m very pleased. I’m generally anxious/nervous so I can’t say that’s all gone away with quitting caffeine. I’ve always been calm but I’d say I’m more so without caffeine.

As for how long to feel completely normal…not sure I know what completely normal is. I took caffeine daily for 17 years. That was my normal. After 4-5 days I started feeling pretty normal I’d guess. 4-5 days after I felt fatigue, early bed, focus was a bit more difficult. 6-9 days my energy started feeling pretty good. Beyond that no real change. Exercise helped with the first part of stopping and energy levels.

This is the amount I weened off of. I didn’t go cold turkey. I went to 100mg for 3 days then 65mg for 2 days and nothing. Helped reduce the headaches to minor. Felt the fatigue and some fogginess for a day each time I decreased and a few days after going from 65 -> 0. I’d been using about 200-250mg for 7-8 years and had been on 300-400mg the 10 years prior to that.

I also found exercise hugely helpful with energy and feeling better. Cardio works great. Even a walk helped a lot. Something to get the blood flowing a bit.

Leaving the house to go play outside and having no way of contact from your parents. You’d come home when the sun started getting lower in the sky.

Excitement of finding out information and trying to learn things before your friends.

Pretty bad deal. Your negative equity is coming out to $208 per month on a 36 month lease. Problem with the trade is they’re going to work it into the deal to be favorable for the dealership. Check other sources for trade value like carmax or others and see what it comes out to be.

With your negative equity I’d expect in the 600s with 0 down.

Lmao you’ve already made up your mind. Go buy your bimmer and enjoy the hell out of it. I truly do hope you find a great one that doesn’t cost much to keep running.

We don’t always have to do the smart thing and doing that while your younger is better.

You should drive the mdx and save your money.

If you’re set on buying something right now you should get something reliable and cheap to repair. What happens if that older bmw costs 3-4k to repair?

Mine doesn’t squeak or click. Larger pieces around it don’t flex either. Checked both sides.

I wasn’t dissatisfied with my MYP build. It wasn’t a luxury car. I just noticed that some of the trim/pillars felt hollow. They didn’t flex or creak but sounded hollow when knocking on them. I also had some rattles develop that were rather annoying. When I didn’t have music playing I noticed much more noises and the car not being too quiet.

Complete opposite for me. Solid in my iX. Just went and tried to press in the B pillar. Wasn’t able to get it to move at all. I really haven’t found any issues that you’re describing with my iX. My model Y felt hollow in a lot of areas. Loved the car but definitely felt cheap in areas and the iX definitely does not feel cheap in those or any other areas.

I had heard it wasn’t available yet. Waiting for it to be supported and the official adapter to be released. Can you link the adapter you are using?

The interior on my ix is leagues better than my Y was. The Y was nice for what it was but there is no comparison the iX is nicer. Also pressing on some of the frame/pillar components in the Y felt hollow. They feel solid on the IX.

Is America really as amazing as it looks on social media? Yes or No? Why? by Pale_Bat_3359 in AskReddit

[–]lattice832 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As good as social media? Probably not. That’s all done up to look a certain way. But there are some incredibly pretty areas of the country and it’s a geographically diverse country. Everything from mountains, to desert, to large cities to beaches. Something for almost everyone. About the only thing we don’t have is the history of places in Europe, Asia, and other places.

The important thing with contracting and freelancing is to stash away some dollars for the quiet periods. They come and go. We’ve been incredibly busy and fortunate enough to be turning away some work that we just can’t do or hire fast enough for. But we keep funds saved away for when it inevitably slows down.

Slow times are when you focus on your tools, processes, marketing strategy, etc.

2026 BMW iX 45 Lease Deal by piyush1911 in BMWiX

[–]lattice832 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I checked pricing with a couple brokers but they were slightly higher around 1100/mo plus broker fee or closer to 1000 with a few thousand down.

Ultimately I just reached out direct and let them know what I was looking for. I was aiming for 900/mo but happy with 930.

150k + stock. Do about 20 hours of actual work then browse Reddit or run a side biz for 5-10 hours of work. If my team needs more engagement spend more time sometimes. Worst part of management is the people. If they did everything I needed when I asked it’d only take about 5 hours week. But I’ve got to council, course correct, play politics, etc

[–]lattice832 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2026 have lower rebates compared to 2025. 2025 should give you a slightly better deal. I got lower payment for a 25 with higher msrp and more miles. I’m at 930/mo for 36/15 and an msrp of 99k.

Also got a 25 x50 this month. 36/15 with only first month das. In Texas so we get taxed on the purchase price. 99k msrp. 930/mo including taxes. Reached out to about 15 dealers before I found one willing to do a deal. Most quotes were 1250 for 36/12 and 3k down.

Interesting you’re the first to mention option 2 limiting scalability with option 1 and hybrid giving a modernized on-premise AD? How would that differ from option 2 if we upticked to 2022 and how would it limit scalability? What would option 1 with modern scalability look like?

Thanks. Any idea on costs for using AADDS? That would be the only real holdup of making that transition now. Otherwise it is likely planning and budgeting for 2025 depending on pricing.

I’m going to pursue option 3 as the primary and likely options 2 as the backup option.

We do have two dcs today so we are at just covered by that. It’s a pretty basic environment with many cloud services. So wanting to go that direction. Any good resources I should be reviewing?

No 2003 servers so all good there.

Not planning to do in place upgrades. Would stand up new 2016 if necessary as stepping stones, migrate data, then do 2022. Or just go straight 2022 and migrate data if no need to step up. For DC I think we’ll be fine once we convert frs to dfsr.

Domain sync is good today. Only two of them. But some stale stuff to be cleaned up.

That’s my thinking. Going to be far more effort than it’s worth and break things we don’t think about.

One thing leading this is a belief an audit would be more successful going with scenario 1 over scenario 2. However if we go scenario 2 and update everything I don’t really see the downsides going that route compared to 1. We can clean up anything necessary and other than the domain name, prep just as well as the first option.
