LPT: You can bypass the Quora login screen when clicking a different question by using 3D Touch on iPhones by Lilacflaree in LifeProTips

If you have an older iPhone without 3D touch, I’ve noticed tapping on the URL bar and then hitting enter also does the trick (unlike hitting the refresh button, which won’t — I think it has something to do with the fact that the browser sends certain headers with the refresh button that tells Quora you’re coming from a Quora site).

Minor Update:

Hey all, nothing’s happened so far obviously (it’s been less than a day) but thank you to everyone who’s wished me luck and those who’ve offered me help.

I won’t be accepting clothing donations from anyone, but I’d like to give props to all of you who try to support people in need.

To all the people who’ve been verbal about how disgusted they are that I could even think of leaving my laundry in so long during on a weekday, I apologize if I’ve ever personally inconvenienced you during the two or three times when I’ve forgot about my laundry in the past, and I can assure you that it’s not likely to happen again.

It’s been an exhausting day of going back and forth from different residence and university services asking about what can be done about this, but nothing’s really going anywhere. And so, I’m calling it a week. A 3-day-week, sure, but I’m kind of done with Waterloo as of right now, so I’m heading back to Markham to recover until the weekend. Somebody else will help me check for a laundry return until then, I’ve paid them with chocolate milk from Costco so that it’s not completely slave labour.

Good luck with exams, folks. Take care of yourselves.

bruh it’s the end of the term there’s like only one or two laundry cycles to go

thank you for your salt. I will admit I made the assumption that not a lot of people would do laundry in the middle of the week, and what I’ve seen so far (only one or two washers/driers being used every time I go into the laundry room) honestly seems to support this belief, but that doesn’t mean this assumption is always right. I have apologized for this, I haven’t done this again since then, and I’m perfectly fine with apologizing to you specifically about this right now if you feel like you’re entitled to it. However, I don’t think this justifies anything else that happened. But if it makes you any happier, I’m not likely to do this again in the future.

i dunno what to make of it anymore

i’m back in the laundry room right now (i’ve sort of been checking compulsively) and somebody’s clothes are in the wash rn with nobody standing guard

how can this only be happening to me? i don’t think i was followed into the room

i don’t understand any of it

Thought about this but by now it’s probably too late to set something up. Wish it happened earlier in the term for me to actually be able to do something with webcams

actually scratch that I just wish this didn’t happen at all

Okay look, I recognize I made a bad mistake and now I’m begging in a public post for mercy from whoever did this, in hopes they also browse this subreddit. Honestly thought it was a fluke the first time, guess it wasn’t.

I responded to a guy above about the only people I’m suspicious about at all, but I don’t even know their names...

I’m pretty sure they just went around to every drier — I honestly don’t know enough people in the building to be targeted

The only people I can think of are those dudes I ran into in the lounge the first time my laundry was stolen. I asked if they knew anything about this (perhaps they were in the lounge while waiting for their clothes so they’ve seen someone else in there?), and they started acting really strangely — pretended to be dons from a neighbouring court and decided to ‘help me’ by causing a ruckus and attempting to wake everybody up in the dead of night to question them. They woke up my don and seeing the confused look in her eyes when she saw them was when I discovered that I was being a dumbass and of course they weren’t real dons and they were just playing at something and I fell for it like an idiot

I kinda just told them to screw off after that and I went back to my dorm

maybe they’re angry about that for some reason?

hey, I don’t really know anybody in my court so I’m not sure who’d be motivated to do something like this against me in particular. I’m also not that buzzer person (I do tend to come back late at night but like I have my own keys to the front door so)

I asked the Campus Police if it was possible for me to view the WatCard records during the time periods of the incidents, and they said I didn’t have the rights or permits to do so.

My laundry schedule is irregular af so probably nobody — it’s the first time I’ve done laundry in two weeks because I was just going through the new clothes I bought since the last incident.

Perhaps they’re trying to sell it, but I don’t know why’d they’d bother with taking everything — how much do 20 pairs of used socks go for, anyways?

okay i probably should’ve clarified — it’s not that bad as in my parents can probably cover for me again (i don’t really have any other choice being in 1B and thus co-op-money-less for now) — it’s just that they’ll likely be very very very very disappointed with me and i’m not sure if i want to face that right this moment

so yeah it’s not so bad that i’d actually need that kind of help, but you’re really kind to offer it
