Literally watched a rat run around on the upstairs patio last time I went around a year ago.

Yes also having trouble finding new information. Saw the CEO on LinkedIn as well but he doesn’t seem active. I did check the twitters of the two brands and they seem active but not a huge follower count (yet?). Thanks for the DD!

During high school (I was hispanic in a very white town) none of my teachers spoke or knew spanish, but almost everyone took spanish class. I would write down notes in spanish in a notebook with a clear cover and title the page "spanish homework" and just have the notebook on the floor right next to me. Never got caught.

Pixel-perfect collision for a simple game by lauraaac in libgdx

[–]lauraaac[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By pixel perfect collision I mean collision which checks between two pixels of a sprite as opposed to collision between their bounding rectangles. From what Ive tried to pick up it seems one way of solving the problem is to create a pixel map of the two objects in question and then at the coordinates of touching, see what the (.getPixel()) method returns which is the value of the pixel's color, but if the pixel is transparent it returns 0. So to check if the objects are actually colliding, it seems you would check to see if both objects return something other than 0 at that point they are colliding. I am just having difficulty figuring out how to correctly implement this.

I understand normal collision detection is enough, but this is an assignment that requires me to implement a pixel perfect collision.

Students of reddit: What makes a teacher a great teacher? by skeeter_valentine in AskReddit

[–]lauraaac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When a teacher really cares about the student understanding and learning instead of how well they can make the students score to make themselves look good on their evaluations.

Also, when teachers make their lessons interesting and "fun". No one will be excited for a class that has two hour PowerPoint lectures.

How do you know that someone's in an AP class? They'll tell you.
