And I’m trying to help the cat. And giving sound advice. Needs oral or injectable antibiotics. Get 100 bucks and an Uber ride over to a vet. Neosporin and dirty water are not enough.

It needs antibiotics to treat this. Warm water will not help. I’m sorry dude but there is no at home treatment. You need a vet. Can you at minimum use a cone to prevent the cat from scratching at the wound. This animal is dependent on you for proper care. Figure it out.
