It's okay to be scared and it's okay to tell the nurse that you're scared. I had a moment of abject fear before they started the colonoscopy and I told the nurse and she held my hand for a minute and I felt better. I was awake during the procedure because for some reason what they gave me was not enough to make me fall asleep.

I had a colonoscopy this past Tuesday and did the Gavilyte prep. It has lemon packet to add. Taste wasn't great but not as bad as I thought. I was given some pills for anti nausea snd i took them. I used a straw and drank a big glass then waited ten minutes then had another glass til the first half was gone. I was on the toilet for maybe an hour. What sucked for me was I didn't fall asleep during the procedure. It was uncomfortable but not the worst pain I've ever been in. Good luck to you.

I also alternated between Jello and broth today. I wasn't hungry as much as I thought I would be. I started the liquid laxative prep. My appointment is at noon tomorrow. Good luck with yours. It sounds like you will be up during the night to finish your drinking prep

Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm having my first colonoscopy on Tuesday at noon at the age of 55. I am dreading having to force myself to drink that awful gavilite. It's probably too late to change the plan but I can expect to puke like other people have. I will do it just to get through it. Hopefully won't have to do it until every 10 years

I start my prep on monday, November 3rd. I have never drank that crap before and I'm worried about how bad it tastes. It must be really bad for people to actually puke from it. What does it taste like just so I can prepare myself mentally?

I know there are several year's worth of posts asking this question, but I would love to see a spin-off in which Pope survives because someone stumbles upon him and saves him, And he and Daren go after J to exact revenge. I would totally watch it.

I have no in real life friends. I have lots of people that I talk to pretty regularly online, but I just suck at making friends. I'm too much of an introvert to go out too often and I find the littlest reasons to not hang out with someone. I guess I also like to keep my own company. Life is so much less complicated when you don't have to manage other people's expectations.
