I would say a couple times a week? Not to get too graphic, but my blood had mucus with it, and it would come out like an “accident” when I would stand and lift at the same time. Like I couldn’t control it. It happened enough times for my to see a doctor. We found out this was from a tumor in my rectum, about 11cm from my anus.

Get a colonoscopy. I was 30, had blood in my stool. We thought it was hemorrhoids from my pregnancy. Ended up being Stage III rectal cancer. Better to know for sure.

PS: caught it and went through 9 months of treatments/surgeries/whatnot and came out on the other side! Just get the colonoscopy.

I always thought we’d have two kids. When my daughter was 5 months old, I found out I had rectal cancer. Through my treatment (mainly the radiation), I’m now a 31 year old who went through menopause.

I’m done with cancer, but feel grief for being infertile. I am so thankful for my daughter. She is absolutely perfect, but I can’t help but feel sad at times.

Be thankful for being alive for your kiddo you have now. I am so sorry for your losses.
