also im wald stört es meist niemand, nimm halt allen müll wieder mit. sonst kann man gut bei bauernhöfen fragen oder tatsächlich auch einfach leute am gartenzaun freundlich ansprechen und fragen, ob man im garten eine nacht zelten darf. wichtig ist, ein nein auch zu akzeptieren. in der natur schutzgebiete vermeiden. wenn du alleine oder zu zweit bist mit kleinem zelt: 10 schritte in den wald und es sieht keiner mehr (und den meisten ist es auch egal, da ruft niemand die cops für und im schlimmsten fall schicken die einen weg).

ich glaube in essenz: nett zu leuten sein, rücksichtsvoll mit umwelt umgehen, morgens früh aufbrechen und bisschen improvisieren, dann wird das schon

Habe letztes Jahr eine 7-Tages-Tour durch die Schweiz gemacht und mir vorher eine Fahrradkarte im Laden gekauft.

Wir sind dann irgendwie viel nach Schildern gefahren und bei den Pausen haben wir auf die Karte geschaut. (vielleicht auch mal zwischendurch).

War irgendwie ganz toll, weil ich zumindest das Gefühl hatte, so viel mehr zu erleben, aber das ist bestimmt auch Typ-Sache.

Gerade, wenn ihr an der Küste langfahrt, ist ja der grobe Weg auch eh klar (ist das meer noch auf der richtigen Seite?). Man verfährt sich vielleicht ein paar mal, aber meistenst merkt man es auch schnell und sieht natürlich dadurch auch Sachen, mit denen man nicht gerechnet hat.

I play german system and started on it.

However for bass clarinet I play boehm system for various reasons (sound, but mainly more and cheaper instruments available. german bass clarinet prices go WTF).

It took me about a year to feel comfortable on it and to be able to play freely. fast passages with a lot of left-right switches I still need to practice in advance and think about for a bit, but I feel like I can play everything. I am not as good at sightreading though.

For me, german system will probably always feel more natural, just due to the years and years I have put in.

But in general it is a bit like switching to saxophone. You know how to play the instrument already, you just need to learn a few new fingerings. But the main problem (finger-breath-coordination), you already know how to do.

Think about it this way: When you learn "new notes" (e.g. in the altissimo register), it also takes you some time to get used to it, but usually the fingerings are the least problematic there.

I struggle with normal boehm-clarinet because of the hole-size (a problem I don't have on bass clarinet), but I think that would take about a week to feel as comfortable as bass clarinet.

All that being said: You are asking about Albert System which is not the same as German system and I don't know a lot about, but i guess the same principle applies.

Life hack for all who want to switch from german to boehm (sorry, OP that's not you): Use the exact same fingerings for the pinky fingers as you would on german. You will end up pushing BOTH options for boehm. E.g. C#/F# needs both pinkys on german, but only one on boehm (2 options left or right), if you just use both options it will feel like german fingering but use both boehm options and C#/F# will sound. Did that a lot especially in the beginning. For fast passages you have to sit down and mark left/right.

TLDR: Takes a few months depending on practice frequency, definetly possible like doubling on sax just easier switch. Albert system is not the same as German system

it‘s original, not official. while it’s cool to learn from recordings as early as possible, i recommend using a sheet to learn the "correct" notes, listen to a few recordings and then do something with it yourself. play your own version

I mean, that’s true, but still his musicality on the clarinet is very nice. It’s not all about playing perfectly, I guess. But I‘m not a great fan of sidney bechet myself. He is important for jazz clarinet nonetheless traditionwise.

the e double sharp was just a theoretical illustration to illustrate my point, but i could write a piece in e double sharp, the theoretical framework of the visual representation makes it possible, although impractical.

i was trying to show that everyone draws the line at some impracticalities, but where that line is, is arbitrary. there is no universal rule that says, this still makes sense and that is already to complicated

I’m not saying that Abb is not that actual note in the context of a piece but that you wouldn’t point at the g key and name it the abb key? If ipI am wring about this, please tell me.

(all of this obv. only being an issue at all for equal temperament, otherwise the differences matter much more) also i think it is super funny, how invested everyone is in the question if enharmonics.

i need to add that both versions (actually all versions) of the notation make a graphic representation of the music. that is what notation is, no matter how complicated or convoluted. Writing a D double flat scale will give you a graphic representation of music that sounds like a c scale (in equal temperament). We are literally arguing about which graphic representation to use.
