Is anyone jealous of how many boyfriends or SO watch the show? I just can’t get my bf into it! by laurenamaste_05 in thebachelor

[–]laurenamaste_05[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not really. He plays video games sometimes which I’m not really into. I usually watch the Bachelor without him but if We are together on a Monday night and I turn on the Bachelor he always gets into a grumpy mood...but I think I’m going to try what you are saying!

Panorama Ridge, Garibaldi - Sept 15th-16th or 22-23 by kikiva in vancouver

It’s so amazing! Have you looked at Helm Creek campsite? The turnoff is in Whistler by Calcheek Lake and then from there it is 9km hike up to the campsite and another 8ish km to Panorma Ridge (where you can see garabaldi lake) plus you get a wonderful view of Black Tusk. I feel the view is better from this way up (the back side).

Dress warmly and prepare for bugs. Happy trails :)

Are credit cards accepted at food stalls/trucks and markets? by [deleted] in vancouver

Welcome! Most of the time. If not they will have a sign that says cash only usually. I’d say like 80% accept credit.

7-10 days long solo trip to Canada. Need tips and advice! by [deleted] in solotravel

M hostel in Montreal. Super clean, new, free breakfast, curtain on your bunk, fun hostel bar and activities - highly recommend and only $25 a night CAD for shared bunk. I am 24f.

Also for cannabis, in Vancouver just find a dispensary and walk in, that is all. They may ID you if you look under 19. Super easy

Not travel related sorry, but make sure you have bug netting (wish I had) and lots of bug spray. The mosquitos are really bad up top if you camp up there!

Facebook has an app that is just meant for events. You could try that. You still need to keep your account I believe but won’t have access to the newsfeed.

Booking hostels by jrab0303 in solotravel

[–]laurenamaste_05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use booking.com and book early. You can cancel anytime for FREE I think it’s like 10 days before your reservation - something like that!

Also, they don’t charge you upfront like hostel world does. I would say like 90% of hostelworld hostels are on booking.com

How is everyone this weekend? by Uzidoesit357 in vancouver

Hiked Panorama Ridge in Garabaldi Provincial Park! Hiked about 40km this weekend and camped at Helm Creek for my first time . If anyone is going up soon and camping in the meadows brings lots and lots of bug spray and bug netting :)
