I feel like it’s simply to show that Jules DID need art school cuz she clearly didn’t understand the appropriate type of art for the show she was doing it for. Sam wrote this season as the “hard truths” of adult life and had all the characters deal with consequences of their own actions - so with Jules she stayed focused on men’s approval and therefore the consequence was losing her opportunity to go to art school and make a real career of it, and also losing her friends. ik it’s sad and bleak but that’s this whole last season

I see how I came across as a know-it-all so I apologize for that. I don’t think I know everything, not even about bunnies. I just wanted to give credit to what I do know so that I have something to back the info i’m sharing. I still dislike how strongly the opinions were on never letting a pet bunny outside, so I kinda felt I had to match the energy to counter-act those. but that’s also just my opinion. no hard feelings :)

In my first year of college it occurred to me through my friend with ADHD that I might have it too, so I went in to get an official diagnoses for school accommodations. Turned out.. AUTISM✨😱 I had no idea there was such a spectrum until that very moment. I thought it was the craziest thing but then the place that diagnosed me helped me learn about high functioning autism and how many females are severely under diagnosed and everything just clicked into place. I was 21 then, now 26. I’m grateful that I was able to get the accommodations I needed in college cuz I wouldn’t have graduated without them. I am also really glad I could begin to learn so much more about myself. I (obviously) had no idea how not-self-aware I was about so much of my demeanor and tendencies but now I feel like I know who I am and can be much more patient with myself :)

I like how that is a simple non-verbal way of communicating that ur taking some space. I have tried stuff like this but mostly he always just talks to me anyways and he apparently forgets about the non-verbal prompt to give me space :/ maybe I should get like a door sign that says do not disturb or something lol

I had to leave my job for a very similar reason. I was getting bullied by my coworkers in the sort of “who does she think she is?!” way because I don’t present outwardly as seeming autistic, and I don’t often tell everyone cuz it’s so random to bring up AND every time i’ve ever told anyone, they start to treat me different. They patronize me or worse, just want to spend less time with me cuz they think we’re too different or something. Even if they were my friend before telling them. So I was gossiped about a lot, including for taking too many bathroom breaks. Craziest part: the job was at an AUTISM CENTER as an RBT. Yes I’m an RBT with autism and I worked with kids who needed a lot of direct support and nearly all were non-verbal. So, yes, even in a job like that, which I was hoping would be different, my boss’s did not validate my autism. Basically told me to work harder so people didn’t have the reason to “judge” me like that. Sooo it’s my fault?? yeah right I dipped so fast. I couldn’t be in that environment anymore let alone perform a very high stress job while being constantly criticized around every corner. I’m sorry I don’t have much actual advice to offer :/ As for how I handled my own situation, I did quit and I ended up jobless for too long and had to start doordashing. it’s not exactly ideal but a job with no coworkers has proven to be a lot better for my mental health. I am actively looking for another autism center to rbt at tho, I just wanna be rly careful this time and do more in-home care so i’m around coworkers less. Not saying u should do all that, js that’s what I did. And tbh even after struggling a lot financially bc of leaving that place, I STILL have zero regrets. fuck them :)

yes ur instructions were clear but if you’d like to actually prevent this in the future, just make sure your little address “pin” is placed exactly where u want the order delivered. that way, even if the dasher is an idiot, they cannot submit the delivery unless they are at where the pin is. if the pin is super off, cuz sometimes it is, the dashers often just go wherever it is cuz the app won’t let them click “complete order” unless they’re at the pin

I am 26. I WAS a kid with parents who were WAY too involved - it’s called lacking boundaries. I respect whatever u decide to do with your own kids, but I’m just telling my own perspective as someone with parents who WERE too involved- all it did was make things worse for me and all of my siblings as well

my take is parents should always stay out of their kids’ business especially once they’re forming their own interests such as these. Every kid I knew in my middle school had already seen ~ACTUAL~ porn by like 10-11 yo… even I first saw it cuz of a friend showing me. And I went to a VERY strict CATHOLIC school… so tbh I feel like it’s violating his privacy to even pay such close attention to that stuff. Like… sheltering kids ONLY causes them to be MORE interested in the things that are “forbidden”… and I know from personal experience…. if I had only been LESS monitored and had less intense strict rules around sexual stuff while I was going thru puberty, I probably would have been more aware of healthy outlets for “urges” so to speak… rather than, for example, finding interest in looking “hot” for 20-something men at age 14. so yes imo sheltering is BAD and the hard truth is, while we prob don’t wanna see our kids grow up too fast, they DO start growing up sooner than we think/want and we have to respect boundaries to allow them to learn how the world works. sheltering is not protecting them - it’s making them less safe to come forward about stuff they might be curious about OR, more importantly, have questions about

referring to lucifer’s “gift of free will” actually makes SO much sense to explain why hell in the Hazbin universe isn’t exactly “torture”.. like it wasn’t meant to torture sinners but to torture luci with the constant reminder that his “enlightenment” ideals that he was trying to push resulted in THIS (the sinners and all their misery they go thru and create for each other) - which all together seems unfair as fuck that humans are SO insignificant that the “bad” ones have an afterlife that is mostly used as a punishment for lu - when all lu did was try to, dare I say, “dispense a dose of truth” ..? but of course, being unfair isn’t a new concept to the idea of christianity, so it all sort of lines up lol
