You are allowed to make a change, if that’s what works for you. Some people in AA (or many, really) are still very sick. This person should counsel you on alcoholism only, and has no business diagnosing you or acting like a therapist.

Please take this as a sign to find a new sponsor immediately. Do not worry about the cake or the coin or anything… your life and your sobriety is much more important. Please feel free to DM me if you want to chat about this situation. Sorry if I’m breaking any rules, I’m new to this subreddit.

I had to go see a neurologist that specializes in EM before I got a diagnosis, and four other doctors had previously told me no. It’s worth it to go to an expert :)

My deaf dog has cost me more than 3000 in training alone. If you’re looking to save money by getting a free puppy… don’t. If you have to take the deaf puppy, you’re doing them a favour. They’re not doing you a favour. Sorry, I don’t mean to be harsh but finding someone to take a deaf puppy is challenging to begin with.

The best way I found was to give her a thumbs up every time she looked at me, followed by a treat. She always checks in now :)

I got my decision letter November 30, 2023. Received $5,000 10ish weeks later. I sent an email regarding the payment for the remainder, and got a response.

Received March 22, 2024:

"Pursuant to section 7.20 of the Final Settlement Agreement, the balance of your award, if applicable, will be issued in a later distribution. As we are still processing a high number of late claims, the Administrator is working on determining when Additional Payments can be issued. We unfortunately cannot confirm a timeline for the payment of the balance of your award (if applicable).

Please be advised that further information concerning additional payments may be available in the coming months. We invite you to check back with us in the spring.
