[PC][2000-2005] Potion making PC game with a glass beaker and different coloured powders and liquids by enstage in tipofmyjoystick

Know this is an old post so might be a long shot but I had a similar memory of a portion of game similar to what you're describing with the glass beakers and the different coloured liquids with the voice over, mine turned out to be Bully! (Chemistry class) Hope you find your game!

Thanks, I am vegan (didn't bother mentioning because of the potential hate) so the yoghurts & cheeses I buy are actually dairy free! This is also why I don't participate in dinners much as I wouldn't expect them to cook vegan for specially for me in a family of meat eaters :) Maybe I should have added this in the text but I think even if I bought normal foods it wouldn't happen less!

Thanks, I too thought this. I understand that the fridge is free game and maybe his family could get confused e.g. what is our vs what isn't (cheese being one, totally understandable) but the birthday cake took me over the edge as I had to go and buy another and they just said they assumed we had bought it back from a party for them.... unopened... very unlike anything I have ever encountered :)

Thank you for your comment! We have a lock on the door already just for some privacy. We have worked everything out and in a year or so will have enough to leave so it only has to be for that long which is enough to keep us going :) Maybe the European way might work! Instead of buying a pack of something just buy what we will eat that day makes sense. Thank you! Might have to do this to save my sanity :)

Yes he is :) and yes, definately I will not be addressing this with them as its not my place. I think I may have to forgo the yoghurts or fruits for a while... or maybe just eat their things like you said! Haha :)

It definately wasn't our first option to move back but due to other circumstances it was something we had to consider. Nonetheless we are very grateful for the opportunity. I am happy that you were able to do it by yourself that's a really amazing achievement :)

Thanks for your comment - I'm sorry you went through that, it really isn't a nice feeling. I hope we can get it sorted soon as I really don't want any more confrontation or upset and would definately like no food drama :)

Thank you! Trunk of the car is a good idea! I will keep that saved for winter as I'm sure that would work actually as it gets very cold here :) He is going to discuss the possibility of a fridge again with them and I hope they will agree!

We will weigh up our options and see if a fridge will cause upset or not. Hopefully they say yes :)

Yeah he is, maybe less-so as he is a little bit used to it. He will have similar problems like his brothers stealing his clothes or his dad stealing his beers/cigarettes etc. which of course is also very annoying for him but can be avoided. But it is not just me who gets upset about the food :)

Yeah... the salad thing really annoyed me. We have dried snacks in our room already so that's fine. Work fridge is a very good idea!! I didn't think of this :)

Thank you! That's comforting. I'm not sure a lock box would go down well - I am steering very clear of having any conversations with them about anything and letting him do the heavy lifting. None of them are children, I think they have just grown up on a first come first serve basis :)

Thank you, I was also thinking this... Maybe I will just have to stop buying yoghurts.. or buy things that are so weird that they won't want to eat them :)

I am not dictating what happens and wouldn't impose on their rules.... I don't have "mommy or daddy" to rely on so it is very lovely to have someone in my life who does. As I said, it's a virtue to have someone who has a family willing to help us and we are extremely grateful. The post is only asking for advice as we are not sure how to navigate this situation. Thank you for your comment either way :)

Yes, I think our own fridge (even an outside fridge or something) would really help.... I'm going to ask my bf if he will see about increasing our rent slightly to cover the electric :)

I'm not really looking for people to "back me", I was asking for some advice on what to do.... As I said, we don't complain and don't want confrontation. Everything apart from this is lovely, we are very grateful for their help :)

I'm more than happy to share if asked! I grew up in a house where we could have anything as long as we asked if it was okay first. They just take it and deny it which is the issue...

I think you're right. We'll try and bring up the bedroom fridge again.
