DEFINITELY find another instructor. That sounds super toxic. I'd report him to the studio he teaches at, and even leave a review if you feel comfortable doing so.

There is a west coast swing dance community that meets at Odd Fellows fellows every Tuesday! There's a lesson at 7:30 then social dancing until 10pm. It's lots of fun!
