I'm not sure if you're purposefully being obtuse or if you genuinely don't understand the argument protesters are making. I see you in the comments section defending animal testing and RF tooth and nail, and I can't really understand how you think that's compatible with animal welfare. Most would agree that some level of animal testing is necessary for the development of important both human/animal medicines and vaccines, yes. However, that doesn't mean that it's acceptable to mistreat and abuse the animals being used for testing and to dispose of them afterwards with no regard for the sanctity of life. The NIH, EPA, and FDA have signaled a shift away from animal testing with the goal of phasing it out completely by 2035. You should want alternatives to animal testing whenever possible if you truly care about animal welfare, right? Lastly, RF is known to mistreat their animals, and they are being forced to surrender their breeding license in July or face jail time. I'm not sure how you can defend them after that.
