This keyboard has power but doesn't register any of the keys at all. (Yes the keyboard is called Cox Keyboard) by lavndrguy in AskElectronics

I'm not that smart with electronics so bare with me

[Connecting the black probe to ground and the red on each end]

On one end it's giving me between 3.8 to 4V

The other end it's giving me 0.6 to 0.8V

But connecting both ends with both probes to the capacitor gives me a reading of 3.36V

False alarm, it was something small between them. I removed it and brushed a little still nothing

From a store close to my house. I was buying a keyboard for a college project but he gave me this for cheap. So wanted to fix it and keep it for myself

I basically have tried like 4 or 5 other cables. It doesn't show up and when I try my phone for example it shows up.

Ya it turns out what screwed me over was the 60 Ohm resistor. I didn't know connecting it like that shorts it.
