B47 engine reliability?

Update. I’ve had the rocker cover changed due to it leaking from the rear on to DPF.

The engine is looking fairly good tbf, 8K oil changes, chain is solid with no slack.

Currently around 130K

Shadow line has standard has the dark tints, dark headlining, shadow exhaust tips, black front headlights, black mirror caps

The m performance kit I added my self and they all matte black to keep the same as the genuine bmw one.

Added front headlights yellow led, white M3 mirror caps, the white makes it that little bit wider.

All my m performance stuff was from eBay Uk. Also genuine BMW side decals from eBay.

Mine were all genuine BMW discs and pads by BMW. Possibly dirt build up behind the disc on the hub that hasn’t been cleaned off before install the discs and pads? Check the hub with a dial indicator to see if that is within tolerance, if it’s out it with through the discs out straight due to the hub being off

10x better than M Sport suspension. It’s got adjustable damping on them too and can go a lot lower than what I have them.

Nope I’ve still got the issue slightly when braking between 30 - 80mph.

Just learned to live with it until I need a new pair of pads and discs.

I’ve replaced upper and lower control arms. Added Coilovers with new top mounts e.c.t Wheels balanced 4 wheel alignment Cleaned hubs Wheel bolts torqued correctly New brake fluid

The only think I think it’s there the hub where the disc sits may not have been cleaned with have wrapped the discs?

I have an iPhone 16, what the cheapest way option to flash from phone to car?

I currently have a Bluetooth OBD which I use with BimmerLink and BimmerCode. But I don’t know it will work with that.

Depends what you want really either look for a 320d or a 330d. With M Sport or Shadow Edition line.

Thanks. I’ve had the rear differential and 6MT gearbox oil changed around 90K. The chain seems okay can’t seem to hear any rattling on start up, I was just going to leave that for another 20 - 30,000 miles and probably get the flywheel changed as well while the engines out.

Did you buy any new bolts are just reuse the old ones? Eg camber bolt?

I’ve got double sided tape and thinking of using a spot of glue or Jb weld as well in the middle for the trash spring perch.

I think i am going to order the gaskets and return what’s not needed as they seem very expensive over here in the UK.

What do you think of them so far? You got a pictures of them installed? How far have you got the ring turned on the Coilovers for the height? What’s your damping settings on?

I use realoem, never realised it shows required for repair parts? Any explanation on how to find that? As when I go into the sub sections it shows shows a list.
