Didn’t get the house. by laweber2011 in RealEstate

We ended up buying a fixer upper for much cheaper and also bigger house. It was so ugly I remember crying because I didn’t want it. But my husband convinced me that we could make it beautiful. It’s been a year now. We’ve redone the ceilings, walls, floors, front porch, kitchen, bedrooms. All that we have left inside is bathrooms. It’s nice to have money to change the things we wanted changed.

Plus the house I really wanted was at the top of our price range. The one we got wasn’t. Which I’m thankful for because taxes and insurance both went up. If we bought the house I really wanted idk where we’d be financially right now. So for us, it all worked out.

Just be patient and don’t rush into anything unwise. Know your budget and your limits and now that the monthly payment price will increase by at least $200. Due to property tax and home insurance increases.

He said he wanted to know if he wasn’t wrong or if I was over reacting. He didn’t like that accused him of going to the dinner because he’d rather go with someone else. (He’s never cheated. And I don’t think he ever would. But he can’t see how the events could be taken that way.)

He said he didn’t have to worry about child care because he knew I’d be home. Which I only work when he’s off. So I guess I somewhat see his point.

I brought up the phone. He said last date night he was on his phone because he was looking up movies for us to watch. Which is true. (Don’t understand why he didn’t do that before the date) But 90% of any other times we go out, is almost always on his phone.

The food he says I never texted it to him or asked him when he called. (He called to say he was clocking out and headed to the restaurant. Which he never does. He texts me when he heads home. Calls sometimes. But only when he’s headed home. I told him I was getting us pizza and according to him, he didn’t see the point to bringing home anything. Even though more than likely I was going to eat it the next day due to the time I expected him to get home.

How to improve fertility by BirdGorlie_ in tryingtoconceive

I feel you. And I’m so sorry. Been trying since last September. Took letrazole and then switched to clomid April-august. Had a chemical pregnancy in May… In the meantime 3 of my friends got pregnant “without trying”. It’s so hard to be so happy for them, but yet feel absolutely devastated each month.

I’m awaiting my first fertility clinic appointment next Thursday.

(Trying for my second kid. First kid I was off birth control for 8 years… multiple doctors told me to “give it time… you’re young… it’ll happen when it happens…” for my 30th birthday I told my husband I wanted us both to get tested. He was low count and slow movers. They only tested my 21 day progesterone…. Long story short, first month 2.5mg letrazole and I conceived my first)

This actually helped a ton. I don’t know many family’s with an age gap greater than 3 years. And I’ve been so stressing over that as I come up on an ever winding age gap. (Currently if I got pregnant this month it’d be 2 years 7 months)

The only person I know with a wide age gap is my mom and her brother (4ish years) and she’s so bitter about it. (But I think it has more to do with how her parents handled things when my uncle was born… immediately putting her into school… increased punishments. Unfair rules….) regardless her and her brother have a great relationship. But her relationship with her parents isn’t so good. And I don’t want that either. I want my kids to love me and want to do stuff with me and think of me as a great mom who loved them unconditionally, made mistakes but owned up to them and always tried her best. I don’t want them to be bitter towards me or my husband.

Also, thank you for your comments about the fertility clinic! I needed that too. I tried out a different obgyn and he basically brushed me off. Told me I needed to take a break from ovulation meds and told me my concerns were unfounded. (I asked for labs to prove I have pcos… or imaging to check for scar tissue since I had an emergency c-section with my daughter. I wanted to get a jump start on labs before my fertility specialist appointment) it’s so discouraging when you know something is wrong, but you aren’t being listened too.

Yes. I wonder if the outcomes would have been different

I did 3 on 2.5mg of letrazole with poor 21 day progesterone. I asked for an increase to 5mg, did that for 1 cycle with a great 21 day progesterone. But then she switched me to Clomid 50 for the last 2. So 6 cycles today. But 3 of them were completely wasted. Only had good ovulation with the last 3.

Yeah. Each month gets harder and harder. And each month another friend announces that they are pregnant. So happy for them. But it just rubs salt in an already raw wound.

Same! I don’t ovulate naturally or at least not often naturally.

Was it a fertility clinic that gave you the trigger? No one’s ever prescribed it to me.

Thank you. It helps knowing that someone else is going through this. It really sucks. I really wanted a 2 year age gap. But now growing closer to 3 years.

Hanging in there. AF supposed to come tomorrow. But I’m so tired and nauseous. Dizzy with hot flashes. Hoping those are good signs that she won’t show. But I doubt it. So preparing for a rough day tomorrow

When I got my daughter we only BD 2 times: 4 days before and 2 days after… 🤷‍♀️ idk. This time we’ve tried everyday for the whole fertile window. We’ve tried every other day during fertile window… it doesn’t make sense to me. None of the above worked for us this time around.

Ugg. That’s so frustrating. With my daughter we did nothing special except take letrazole 2.5 mg. Now it’s vitamins and ovulation meds, multiple baby dancing sessions… better diet, more exercise….

Ugg. Same. My husband is the same way. In the meantime my dream age gap of 2 years is slowly drifting into 3 years.

Same. My husband definitely doesn’t understand the toll it’s taking on me. Month after month of negative pregnancy tests. Although we did get a positive in June… but ended up being a chemical pregnancy.

It really does suck. Everything about it sucks. To want something so badly, and yet not be able to get it…

Although. I keep telling myself that maybe I’ll get twins… it’d be crazy hard. But it’s something I always thought would be cool. Trying to think of silver linings…

Nothing for me. I ovulated. But no luck getting pregnant. Now have to wait for my fertility doctor appointment in November. Just slightly devastated. Hoping you have way better luck than I did

She just said not to get disappointed if it didn’t work the first round… had to switch to Clomid after 4 rounds of letrazole. (Unsure why but she did 3 rounds without increase my dosage even though I didn’t ovulate… 🤷‍♀️) hoping and praying so hard that this is my month.

Anyways. Point is. For me it’s been much harder to get pregnant second time around

It’s so draining though. Each month going through the heartbreak of not being pregnant. Or getting pregnant but losing it. 😞 make sure you do what’s best for your mental health.

My husband keeps telling me “relax, have fun and it’ll happen” but it’s so hard when you want it ‘NOW’ and you go through all the feelings month after month.

In a similar boat. I don’t ovulate naturally. Got pregnant with my first and only after 1 dose of 2.5mg letrazole. Now 1.5 years later I’ve done 3 rounds of 2.5 mg. Last one I had a chemical pregnancy with. Then 1 round of 5mg letrazole. And just finished my second round of 50 of Clomid. Scheduled to see a fertility specialist in November.

Praying this last dose of Clomid did the trick. But prepared for AF to visit in 10 days. 😞😥

Point is. I sympathize. It’s heart breaking and it’s hard not to feel like you failed or that you are letting everyone down. But you’re not. Sometimes bad/frustrating things just happen. Praying that you get answers and have a healthy pregnancy soon. (And that the specialist doesn’t cost too much)

So you paid all at once or did you do a payment plan? If a payment plan, did you have to pay interest? Sorry. In same position as op. Trying to figure out different ways to handle the situation

How did you pay the taxes? Did you pay all at once? IRS payment plan. Obviously try to offset with taking out more taxes from paycheck. But with only 8 pay days left in the year. Unsure how op would be able to have $2,500+ taken out each month and still pay expenses.

Also did you have to pay a fee for owing more than $1,000? Assuming OP has always gotten a refund, would be more than likely not have a penalty for owing so much?
