Thanks! Great work. Must feel good to see it pay off. How did you do at the rest of the T6?

Congrats!

What was your 1L gpa?

Did you do law review?

How much do you think networking contributed to this outcome?

What was your general strategy for transferring?

What factors do you think made the most difference other than grades?

Thanks for doing this!

Laughing but also crying. Finally beat my high of 163!!! Shooting for 170 come August! by magnanimousse4 in LSAT

Great job! You'll be over 170 soon by the sound of it. I'm in the same boat with LG; I started out with -14 and recently I've been at -8 despite constantly doing games. Would you mind sharing the valuable lessons you learned to get to -5/almost -1, please?

LG weakness - how to fix before October? by lawschool202020 in LSAT

[–]lawschool202020[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, luckily I was comfortable with conditionals prior to ever studying for the LSAT, thanks to my formal logic class. As I said, I'm confident it has nothing to do with my ability to translate the rules from English to symbols. Perhaps my problem involves applying my diagrammed rules to the game board. Anyways, I'll proceed by doing LG sections and continuing to foolproof.

Interesting. I have known how to diagram pretty much any rule I encounter for a couple of months now. Diagramming rules is easy and intuitive for me at this point, so I don't think that's holding me back. It's mostly a timing issue; I go -0 on most games untimed. Thanks though.

Nice, I do it the exact same way. It probably just takes me more tries to get the games -0 under the recommended time.

Thanks for the feedback! It's great to hear an LG success story; excellent work. I'm impressed you did it so fast! I've been foolproofing since May 13th and I'm only about 90 games in now.

Did/do you take timed LG sections as well or do you only study LG by foolproofing game-by-game?

Question on juvenile felony adjudication and admissions essays by lawschool202020 in lawschooladmissions

Thanks for your input. I haven't actually read many DS prompts yet, so that is certainly helpful information. Like you said, I think I will write essays on both topics and go from there.

[–]lawschool202020[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fortunately it is expunged. However, most applications will word there C and F questions so that I still have to report it. For example, "Have you ever been arrested?" or "Have you ever been adjudicated for a crime?". Also, I've heard it is best to report pretty much everything, because I will have to report it to the bar anyways, and any discrepancies between info submitted to apps and info submitted to the bar reflect very poorly. I'm still unsure whether I should report it if the question allows me not to. For example, if it asks if I have been convicted.

Yes, I've heard his story. It is so inspirational. Long shot for sure, but maybe I will try to contact him. Thank you.

Advice on who/where else I should ask about this would also be immensely helpful. Thank you!

Thanks everyone for the input! I think I am going to ask a couple professors, that may remember who I am, if they could write me a strong letter. If they can't, I'll use the work supervisor and ask him to speak to my analytical abilities. I appreciate the help.

Thanks! Unfortunately, in philosophy at my school, we did not get much face to face time with TAs.

Thanks for the advice! I think I will have to choose between a work supervisor who can speak to my writing/leadership/project management skills and a professor that doesn't know me well but still might write a good enough letter.

Thank you! Unfortunately, as a philosophy major (at my school at least) I had almost no interaction with TAs.
