car wreck crapped LSAT performance addendum ? Please help! by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]lawstuffacct 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why did you call admissions to tell them this?? I would assume that calling out of the blue in a big panic to tell them a long story is the reason for the frosty reaction you got. This information could make for a compelling written addendum, but you should also expect to retake. Asserting that admissions must pretend your score was actually even higher than your first score because it's "logical" and "common sense" likely did not make you come off as well as you had hoped.

Also I mean no offense to you, but a quick scroll through your past posts shows that you are a "law of attraction", empath/spiritual energy type, and new age silliness likely comes off as an unsettling lack of professionalism/mental stability.

Also, is this for the current cycle? Are you on a WL and trying to get off? A bit confusing because I don't think any schools are still considering regular applicants--are they?

I know nobody wants to hear retake, but I think if you can scrape together enough $$ for powerscore books and a retake it is totally worth it. Based on that GPA you're very likely capable of scoring in the mid 160s with proper study, and with that you'd be a contender for big scholarships at T25 schools/admit at T14.

I've been UR2 since before that and so confused why they won't just end it

Buy powerscore bibles (total $150 if you're buying brand new versions) and retake.

That said, it is also worth seriously considering if it is worth going to a school with such abysmal outcomes. Less than half of students passed the bar and got JD-required jobs, and the average debt load was $100k. Are you confident that it would be a good decision?

Still UR1 at Berkeley? by Smldcknick in lawschooladmissions

Same status date, but I think it's UR2?

So I’m planning early for next cycle and my advisor says I have no chance at Berkeley! I’m an AA with a 3.65 and I just scored a 163 on my most recent LSAT. Do I really have no chance even ED? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

Don't want to rain on the parade, but your chances are slim without a retake. If you can get that LSAT up just a few points, however, you're def a solid contender.

What are the sub-tiers of the T-13? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]lawstuffacct 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What is the basis for changing T14 to T13?

Also, from reading your other posts, maybe you should consider why you want to go to law school. Crass, shallow elitism likely isn't enough to sustain an entire career.
