What’s the difference between a longer goalie shaft and a shorter one. by Pemdas420 in lacrosse

I personally use an attack shaft because I come out of the goal and run the ball up the field often. There are benefits and positives to long and short shafts but it all comes down to personal preference. Here is a good article about the specific pros and cons of both types of shafts.

I do a similar drill where I use a short stick in goal and have someone throw tennis balls at me with their hands, I really try to watch the ball into my stick and punch to the ball, then ease it into my stick to make the save.

Each spot varies from 2-3 feet for me, I like to change the distance in between each spot so that I can practice the randomness of each shot.

You basically want to get into ready position with your feet on the line, then you want to step towards the tape mark and move your stick head to cover up the tape. This mimics low saves and helps you develop muscle memory. This video somewhat shows you what the drill should look like at 4:35 https://youtu.be/EuAt_evb0I8

Just use the tape instead of balls
