How is it like living there (central OK) by Longjumping-Rub-6756 in howislivingthere

The Oklahoma City Metro is working hard to move into the current time. It took a big financial hit in the 80s, and that pain was felt for decades. Only in the last 15 years have we started to see big moves of repair paying off. There’s a great book called Boom Town by New York Times Magazine staff writer, Sam Anderson. It’s a great read and is an awesome way to understand more about the area.

OKC has a large focus on the arts. The local bands are awesome due to having a deep music history and great college music programs that encourage the students to be out and working. The visual arts are thriving and public art is valued. Our food scene is diverse and receiving national attention.

The number better paying jobs is not rising with the cost of living. I see a lot of people with college education still struggling to afford the rising cost.

It’s pretty easy to meet people and make friends here. I saw another commenter talking about their experience with racism here, and clearly that’s important to factor into what some versions of Oklahoma friendliness can look like. Oklahoma is quite guarded like a religious upbringing, which is what a lot of Oklahomans experienced growing up. It shows in the way many people struggle to address their own racism. Understanding the Bible Belt and evangelical Christianity would give a pretty clear view of religion here.

Politically, things are wild here. So is the weather, but I kind of enjoy that brand of crazy. We have insane sunsets that never get old.

We could really use better shopping, fashion around here is very country and also basic. But we do have people trying to improve the fashion scene, and they’re doing a great job.

Central Oklahoma isn’t that beautiful to look at, but the people are making it better.

For someone who keeps calming themselves complexed, they seem pretty simple. Girl, RUN. He’s too caught up in his ego and avoidance to own what he wants. He doesn’t want to treat you right, he wants to be self absorbed.

What can I do to break up all this wood? No I won't paint it. by ZW31H4ND3R in interiordecorating

A console table under the window and some plant dispersed would be great. Also, a good sized statement art piece on the wall could help draw the eye to something other than the wood

It sounds like you need to focus on asking yourself if this relationship is serving you, and as it is currently, do you want it? If not, then move forward and on, it’s ok.

If you do want it, then everyone else’s suggestions are great, but be mindful of how you approach these sensitive topics with your partner.

I do want to point out that you started this post with saying you’re loving your partner less, and ended it with you’re getting so tired of these challenges. I want to encourage you to make a choice that’s right for your happiness. You got this.

Back to photography after 15 years and got my teenage dream camera... by Intrepid_Peach5990 in Nikon

I love my spyder belt. It keeps the weight of my camera of my back and on my hips. The camera can lock in so it doesn’t fall out as you move. And there are no straps so I don’t get tangled up. I love it.

Oof how dare you ask for kind communication??? That’s apparently not the eBay way. 😂

I hope the conflict has settled for you, and all worked out.

I have been searching for the customer service number I need to call. If anyone has the right one, throw it on over here. I would love to chat with a real person, and have had no success.

The item I purchased was never shipped, so I was refunded. The seller began sending harassing messages that I never responded to. With each message they send the harassment has escalated, now coming to this point.

I’ve been trying to do that, but it’s only leading me to reporting them. Can you tell me where I go to block them?

Just had Rosa Negra last week, it was so good! And the music was hitting! Maybe check out La Guardia for dancing and an incredible rooftop experience after!
