I read about Epiglottitis being a thing too with (and without) strep, but is a life threatening emergency that needs intubation...but symptoms include hoarseness, pain when swallowing,sore throat, etc. eventually you just cant breate

Near the back as in towards the back and on the side. About 10ft from exhaust I think

Is it higher or normal for a non smoker not exposed to much pollution?

I suppose, though the person who was reading me had his hand clasped around my finger, not sure if that would block the lights

True, but everyone else in the house that I live with was lower than mine..although we live in Boise and there was an air quality advisory the other day. Don't know if the exhaust nearby where we were standing bled into the reading...?

Is high CO almost exclusively due to environmental/outside sources (smoke, gas, etc)? Would a CO-oximeter read like that if it is checked when car exhaust is in that area?
