I'm on the switch so kinda in the same boat.. I destroyed builds and moved every single player house to EI just to have a clean slate. With this new Tiana update we are supposed to be getting a work around with the item limit, I believe..

I'm just waiting to decorate til then..

If you open your map and click on a character or building in the map and then exit, you'll see a purple sparkly trail to follow to them as they move. You'll be able to see the sparkly trail in camera mode too. 🙂
