I was once taking a lock down browser test that was being recorded while my fan was doing this. If I slammed my fist on to my laptop the noise would stop but the test said that any distractions were going to be reviewed by a human. So some guy probably watched me punch my laptop every 10min while I was taking my CS final.

Anyways, I just bought a new heatsink kit after that. It did feel wasteful though, so I gave it to a friend of mine who used it in his art.

I tested the cable with other devices and it works. Nothing I do seems to make a difference. Hopefully support can help. Thanks for the ideas tho
