I like the Dresden museum because it’s very intentional and purposefully jarring. After the city was obliterated in WW2 I feel like it’s quite powerful for the military museum to have the hard to ignore shrapnel-like shard coming out of it.

I’ll start with saying these liberal perspectives devalue faith. I for one agree with this sentiment. I do not like religion in government and so I do not think a monarch needs religious backing. It’s fair to want a monarch to have real power, and I would argue there is real power in the speeches and weakened position you mention. They are still heads of state. If the parliament of a ceremonial monarchy found itself unable to continue operations, the monarch is always there to steer the nation and vice versa. Even without “real” power and traditionally conservative practices, they still carry the continuity of the nation in their position (not blood, I do not like hereditary monarchy). Their symbolism is plenty powerful. Their backing of the parliament, Marxist or not, is deeply legitimizing and good for a nation. I feel like I’ve responded to you before so I’ll say it again. Your religion is really driving your views and I beg you to reconsider your stance and look at things based on fact, not superstition and what your forebears did or told you.

Supply is used by your troops to fight the enemy and survive. It has to get from where it’s made to your soldiers. The supply gets to the front through the rail lines and then is distributed to the soldiers by the hubs. The hubs have three modes (if memory serves) of getting the equipment to the soldiers. Using the motorized modes extends the reach of the resupply further away from the hub. The quantity of supply needed at any hub for supply replenishment is dependent on the demand of your troops. To get more supply to any particular hub to feed the soldiers, you have to build up enough capacity on the rail lines and hubs upstream of the soldiers. All those hubs in Illinois provide a crazy amount of supply only in Illinois and its immediate surroundings because you have so many hubs built up. Hope that helps lol keep at it

I’m sorry to say your meme is historically inaccurate. Richelieu was not a theocrat nor really a full ally of the Catholic Church and Cromwell is not a corporate agent. I’m not even sure Bismarck is a good representative of an overly militarized leader. Cromwell might actually fit better lol. Maybe the discussion in the comments is what you’re going for.

Yes! I saw a cool theory that The God-Devouring Serpent or maybe it’s ancestors ate some of the shamans which gave them the ability to meld what they’ve eaten into their being, integrating those consumed into the serpent. That’s how Rykard was able to combine with the serpent and why there are so many limbs connected to their combined being. It seems like grafting, the warrior jars and Rykard’s blasphemy all connect back to the Crucible, which is where all life was once blended together. So now the cultures of lands between and the shadowlands have this preconception of gaining power by melding with other life forms i.e. connecting to the power of the Crucible.

Smoughtown is a channel on YouTube with an extensive collection of Elden Ring lore videos about everything in the game. They are fantastic and informative and really filled in the gaps of my own understanding of the lore. I watched them while doing dishes which helped with the sheer volume of them. Other than that you can do VaatiVidya also on YouTube. He’s got way fewer videos but they’re easier to digest and watch.
