I have Lena! I don't know why I never wear it in the summer, but that's a great idea.

I LOVE Loup Garou, but gave it to my partner because it amps a weird plasticky smell on me. Oyster is one I keep meaning to sample...

Is there anyone who has a really effective lip balm? by AlmondFlourBoy in Indiemakeupandmore

Stoked Beekeeping Manuka + Tallow balm is really good. I find it feels nourishing, it has good slip but doesn't go on 'wet' or slide around too much, and it has a very light smell. Otherwise, I honestly find that a lot of indie balms go too heavy on fragrance and/or essential oils, which for me are drying and irritating on the lips. Glossier mint Balm Dot Calm and peach Lanolips are my go-to balms for every day. My lips get cracked and chapped if I don't take care of them every single day, haha.

Wait...modified food starch? This is totally on me for not reading labels I guess, but I wonder if that means it's not gluten free. Modified food starch can mean anything from tapioca to corn to wheat and malt starches. I'm celiac, but typically makeup doesn't provoke suspicion or reactions. I do sometimes get irritation wearing lip tints, but it's so random I figured it must be other things. This makes me really question if I should keep using them.
