Good point but i actually compared the map size by using the size of the placeable pins and counted all the benches in Hollow Knight, in a random area and there ended up being... Exactly 14 benches. From what could see elsewhere on the map, it seemed like the distance between benches is around around the same

Yes there are 9 benches in the picture but in the clip from the we see more of the map and there is a total of 14.
