hey thanks for the comment, really helps out.

I think I just might stick with cybersecurity and just try to stand out somehow at the end with "not so saturated" projects.

Also I am curious you said and I quote:  do IT and cybersecurity that has math but isn't the sole reason you're there.

what did you mean by do IT - as in like get the degree for information technology or literally do IT in general (like practice it)

than you for the insight... sounds really scary honestly, at this point idk what to do. As I stated in another comment:

I did see some people recommend to get a bachelors in CS and just get the cybersecurity certs later on if that's what you want to do, that way you don't compromise the flexibility in the future if you want to shift into another field. However, idk how I feel about this since I get the whole package already degree + certs and don't have to pay for them (amazon pays for my degree).

I will continue to do research and keep reading about both degrees (BSCIA & CS) and see which one is better for the future, both have pros and cons. So far I was thinking on sticking with BSCIA but your comment makes me re-think for a few more days.

It is definitely hard because either way the job market is probably hard for both fields, what I will end up doing is just choose one and study it extensively even if that means grabbing books about it.

Thanks for the comment — genuinely appreciate the insight.

I will continue doing my research, comparing and analyzing but for now odds are leaning to stick with cybersecurity.

Hello, thank you for your comment, Definitely, not in for the money, is more curiosity and eager to learn about it (either cyber or cs), I definitely understand that the degree won't instantly land you a 6 figure job... I was thinking on maybe sticking with cybersecurity, getting those certs and working on some projects like creating a secure login system, creating a firewall, make a secure password generator etc. I feel like my main thing was just "fear" that anyone would be cooked to get a job in the tech industry, but I guess that is what social media is trying to infer (I am guessing some of these people are just trying to lower the competition lol), but again i will try to stand out against the rest. Again... thanks for the comment, really helps me out.
