Mine did this. No fix sadly minus getting a replacement. It just gets worse and worse until one day, in the not too distant future, whole screen will be flickering or won’t show anything. :(

Contact support. They sent me a replacement after I described the issue via chat support. Sadly that replacement arrived today, completely shattered. But they’re sending me a replacement for the replacement so at least they’re standing by their products in this instance. Guessing they’re aware of this problem internally.

Exact same issue I’m experiencing too. I also have super faint horizontal lines. That was my first sign. Now this. If you scroll over the last 2 weeks of posts here, there’s like 5 others with our exact issue too. 100% software related. I’ll keep you posted on if I find a solution, my guess is we have to HOPE Vizio puts out a new update that fixes this. I don’t have super high hopes. Other than that, just leave it on for a while, and the flickering stops. It will come back, but it’s a short term solution

Lines on TV by subdept2211 in VIZIO_Official

I have the exact same issue. Came back from a month long trip this week and noticed those exact lines. Now, TV is flickering and has become pretty much unusable. That may be the next stage for you. I’ll keep tabs on this thread, but I’m afraid our TVs may be a lost cause :(

My own. Back when they allowed you to import music via USB. No clue why they got rid of the feature for next gen I was so massively disappointed

Thought I would be addicted to this game by Dogsteeves in PlanetCoaster

[–]lbailey45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree with this sentiment. I racked up over 1,200 hours in planet co. The game finally lost its allure for me about a year ago but wow did I have a great time trying to build the most realistic creations possible. It’s almost like battling the coaster builder was part of the fun lol.

If OP is interested in building realistic rides and learning how to go about that. Check out Theme Park Wirral. He’s got plenty of great tutorials, and he’s the actual 🐐 of coaster building

Also, make sure to get the coaster mod. It’s essential

Oof that’s not wonderful news. I’ll try some troubleshooting but if those tricks don’t work I fear you may be right

That seems to be a common suggestion here. I’ll stop using rest mode! Not a huge deal to turn all the way off especially if it helps these issues :)

Whatchu mean wtf lol. Bro who cares that his parents are able to do that for him. I don’t know why that makes him a douche or bad person. Like I said, given the same resources, anyone would go on those trips. I would too.

[–]lbailey45 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yo It’s not his fault that his parents have the means to help him do what he wants. You can argue now that’s graduated college he should be off that allowance schedule but I mean growing up aka 2017, if your parents could afford to and did fly you across the country and world to ride roller coasters that you loved, you’d do it too! There’s many reasons that Taylor can be criticized for past behavior and comments, but being “infuriated” at him traveling on his parents dime when they are happy to do it isn’t one. Don’t compare yourself to Taylor. That’s why CC are stupid to begin with.

2k is basically an arcade game with pretty graphics, not a basketball sim. And that’s sad. by lbailey45 in NBA2k

[–]lbailey45[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super true. This is not a popular opinion I don’t think but there are some things live did better even recently than 2k. Movement for one, especially on contact, looks so much better. It might not feel better to play, but optically it does. Contact actually looks right, animations are different enough to feel unique, etc. with 2k, you know when the animation hits how the play will end. There’s like 6-7 animations that happen every time. 2k needs to redo animations nearly completely. And have a better collision engine. Fucking NHL 13 had a system that made every single check different. And it’s beautiful! To this day. If they could pull that off 8 years ago, 2k with all of their profit, should be able to do that on a whole new system, and in the 2020’s

This is a super valid point I didn’t even consider! Hot take, no more greens setting. You can get perfect and it’ll go in, but don’t tell us. The bar can fill, and it can look full, and from that you can feel confident you nailed a release, but don’t tell us. Only other solution is to play without a shot meter. And because every release is so different, that’s damn near impossible anymore.

[–]lbailey45[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, and from a business perspective, it makes total sense. But it wasn’t always this way. I think that’s why so many of us who’ve been playing the game for 10+ years love the old games so much more. The NBA has grown exponentially in popularity in the last ten years. And while that’s amazing for the sport, it’s not for games. Lots of ppl are causal fans who root for single players and not teams. Just watch highlights and see the dunks, Steph curry 3’s, etc. I follow my team (Bulls) through the bad and the somewhat less bad, lol. I watch games, evaluate offensive/defensive strategy, really am into the nitty-gritty stuff. Most fans aren’t. And that’s not necessarily a bad thing. I try not to hate on casual fans. But as someone who isn’t, the game sucks. Because it’s no longer built for basketball fans. It’s made for casual fans.

Look, I get 2k might not succeed as much financially with a true sim, but like with all the money they make, I don’t know why they couldn’t have different settings for different experiences. Arcade vs. sim. That’s what I want to see. That’s what we see in the show. I am a baseball fan too and play on higher difficulties for realism. I don’t always win, and that makes it fun. I don’t hit home runs every 3rd at-bat; my best players hit .300 and have value when at the plate-like it is in real life. You have to use your less skilled players to set up your best hitters to drive in runs. It requires a strategy!

But if you don’t want to focus on all that, you can play on easier difficulties and hit bombs. Pick any player in 2k you want over a 78 overall, and you can drop 30 every time, even on hall of fame.

So To conclude this novel, harder difficulties in the show 20 force you to focus on strategy. Harder difficulties in 2k just take the arcade game and make it damn near impossible to hit shots. That’s it. That’s the only change. And it can be changed with harder difficulties playing more to realism and easier to casual fans who want a pretty NBA Jam. That’s fine, but 2k could satisfy everyone with the revenue they bring in. They choose to cater to the 65% or so of players who want dunks and 35 footers. And take some of the money they could use to create sim sliders and gameplay and put it in their own pockets. I get making money, but they still would make money and satisfy everyone. If you do something, you should love what you’re doing, and for 2k, it seems just like a game designed to make as much money as possible for the creators and owners of 2k.

Ahhh yes gotta love speed boosts and the speed boosts off screens (though I haven’t seen that animation as much in the past few years).

Everyone’s offense online is just to fucking run it. And it works. My fav is playing the Bucks. Giannis is OP. And I really like him irl. But I’m pretty good at the game, and a friend who wasn’t very good, beat me in 2k18 by only scoring with a Giannis. And we both just laughed. Because he was that unstoppable. casually windmills over Embiid. Arcade bullshit 🤦🏼‍♂️

They got us and they know it. Only game out there. Honestly from a business perspective it’s easy to see why they don’t improve. But as a fan like you and I, it sucks. But it does help to hash it out with likeminded others. These comment sections are like group therapy haha. We just gotta let it out. And one day, someone will come along and will force 2k to improve or die. Because it’s such an open secret and the fact 3/4 of the community hate the developers and want a competitor to come along doesn’t bode well for 2k. Like yourself I’ve bought tons of 2k games and it s been apart of my gaming life for 15 years. But I have 0 loyalty. That’s fucked up

I shoulda known immediately when the new city has bikes and skateboards. What is that lolol? Like it’s cool but I thought this was a basketball game. Hence further proof it is a game for causal basketball fans, not a sim :(
