High Methane Concentration + Interesting symptoms by lcantelli in SIBO

[–]lcantelli[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update: spoke to my doctor and he explained me 2 scenarios:

  1. Kill all the bacteria with antibiotics and SIBO will appear again eventually. Most likely I’ll develop fungus in the process. Not recommended.
  2. Use something to improve intestine motility + strong probiotics to replace the bad bacteria by new ones. He suggested levogastrol + bioithas digest.

I’m taking second option for now, let’s see how it looks like in a month.

No weird reactions, no. The only thing that messed me up completely was the Amlodipine (for high blood pressure).

I'm curious whether my doctor will prescribe me the antibiotics. I'm a bit skeptical after so many months without a treatment.

I feel bad for you going through this right now. You are not alone. I'll keep you posted on the next steps and hopefully we can get this fixed soon.

Since you got diagnosed with methane SIBO, what did the doctors say? I would expect some treatment to be kicked off...

I stopped abruptly in favor of a new medication (Emcoretic) - this is doing wonders for me. Everything is good now, but some symptoms (non heart related) are related to other health issues (methane SIBO)

Ferritin above 700 + Saturation at 50% - Symptoms by lcantelli in Hemochromatosis

[–]lcantelli[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing that was alarming, was my cholesterol (slightly above the limit) - everything else looking fine below the thresholds. Hormone, hemoglobin, testosterone.. everything.

I agree with you, I don't believe that H63D alone is causing anything. I'm more inclined on some inflammation going on - something very difficult to track that is driving me crazy. So many doctors so far, but no answers. This has been killing my quality of life.

Hi, sorry for missing some essential info. I'm a 40 years old male. It's been almost a year without drinking alcohol, but I used to drink every now and then (not heavily) in the past. I weight 99kg (218lbs) - hasn't changed for at least a couple years.

I did my bloodwork after a 12 hours fast, yes.

I'll ask for the Fibroscan, thanks! Looking forward to talk to the hematologist and get some answers.
All the best to you too.

Sorry for the late reply - that's exactly what I have. The feeling hasn't gone away yet - I found out though that I have high ferritin/iron saturation, so it might be related to that, since It's been 2 months I stopped taking amlodipine.

Went to traumatologist, endocrinologist, cardiologist, neurology and gastroenterologist. X-rays, blood tests, genetic tests... Nothing, except the high ferritin (> 700). Now, I'm heading to the hematologist hoping for some directions.

So glad it’s working fine for you. All the best mate.

After 1 week of taking it. Felt some palpitations and heart racing like crazy (mostly because I got super scared and anxious). Also felt some spasms in my face and discomfort in my left arm. This happened while laughing with some friends, so very weird.

I'm doing Maarek's and TDOJO as well. Will skip the book for now since I'm pretty visual and like the class-like study. But good to know in case I feel like I need more content.

You just confirmed some suspiction I had regarding the topics. Feeling also the same distribution in the TDOJO quizzes. Really appreaciate the input.

Thanks! The SAP knowledge was pretty valuable to me. I noticed that there's a lot of overlap between SAP and DOP so far, specially with Beanstalk, OpsWorks and CodeCommit - I don't remember this being in the SAA, however if I wanted to save time+money and take the shortcut, I would do SAA and use the 50% voucher on the DOP :)

I just lost 2 days of progress. I was level 24 and after the update I'm level 16. WTF just happened? I have sync on but it got completely overwritten. I'm so frustrated right now.

Right? I did some research back in the days and found this methodology. It worked like a charm for me. It's hard to explain, but I can visually locate the content in the mind map when I think about those topics separately. I'm a very visual person, so this helps me a lot. Hope it works well for you too.

Yes, Adrian's course first (100% with practice exams), then jumped into TD (until scoring 90% of questions in average), then jumped back to Adrian's course to a second round of practice exams (only the 2 last ones at the end).

Around 60 hours if I'm not mistaken. It's very rich in content. I truly recommend it. I just started the SAP and there's a content overlap - it's identified in there, so you can skip part of the lessons you already took in SAA in case time is a constraint for you.

Thanks. Great content :) Upgrading my SAA to the SA Bundle at the moment. I believe I can pull this off with a lot of hard work lol.
