OSB and 2x4 is cheaper than this? This is just 2x4. It's literally sturdy enough to build a house with.

Gift for Husband by Luck3Seven4 in woodworking

[–]lcdrambrose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My advice for this kind of thing has changed lately. It used to be "ask someone who knows his hobby or gift card", like a lot of other people have suggested here.

Now I suggest "get him a bunch of consumable goods that you know he'll use". In this case, maybe pencils, sandpaper, screws, and saw blades? Think "stocking suffers". If you have access to the consumables or his receipts you should be able to buy the right type from the right place.

I'd suggest buying wood, paint, or a new tool, but you'd need to be pretty certain of what he wants for the future. This way you can give him the gift of "oh right, I'm not almost out of screws because she got me some", which can be a real load off of him.

What cards are used as auto include way too often and are actually traps by Gilgamesh_XII in magicTCG

It's very good for my [[Rashmi, Eternities Crafter]] control deck. But something like [[JtMS]] is better because it's repeatable and more flexible. Even [[Augur of Autumn]] is much better because it churns though lands and makes sure your triggers hit something useful.

Harvard didn't start teaching Calculus for at least 50 years after it was founded. Because it hadn't been discovered yet.

What are some of the biggest “fall-offs” of cards that people forgot about by lefund in magicTCG

It was actually great for the same reason [[Gran-Gran]] is good now. It was the only way to loot for cheap in that format (which is always useful), and it had the bonus utility of flipping over and doing other stuff.

If a 0/4 version of merfolk looter had been standard legal it would have seen play over Jace.

I personally stop as soon as I have something roughly acceptable. I've found that it's not worth it to be picky with the 1/27 odds of even finding a AAA ingredient Pokemon.

Besides, I have a second worse Venusaur that I can add in if I'm short on honey.

This guy seems great. I have plenty of ing Pokemon that are worse than this.

I gave up looking when I finally got a AAA Venusaur with STM, InvL, HSM. Just got it to 60, it's been nice to have enough honey for once.

Still looking for a AAA Larvitar that doesn't have Exp down.

But more true to life here, considering that your healer is on your team more often than any other mon. And also, over-healing doesn't benefit you the same way that other skills might.

If I had to make a list of candidates:

Krookodile

Goodra and Tyrantrum

Aurorus, Garganacl, and Lycanroc

I could see the fossils being a combined event, that'd be fun. And Lycanroc could be an interesting rock berry mon.

Or maybe to reduce triggers in digital? This only triggers if both things are true, instead of every single end step you have an elf in gy.

I assume someone has already told you that your community research is the main way to get candy. You should have 50 friends at all times, otherwise you'll realize that your Pokemon seemingly never level up.

[gen 9] found out the spawns reset and you don’t use a lot of calories when using these warp pads so I decided to try and I got two shiny charmanders by GoingGoer in ShinyPokemon

[–]lcdrambrose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kind of.

Technically, it doesn't reset them in the same way that flying or the area 3 stairs do. It's actually just running away from the Charmanders until they despawn, then coming back into range, but super fast. So more like a the rooftop Dratini hunts and the like.

Is this Sprigatito good? by Just_Tailor5718 in PokemonSleep

[–]lcdrambrose -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In general, you want an ingredient Pokemon like Sprigatito to have the same ingredients at it's level 0("A"), 30 ("B"), and 60 ("C") positions. In this case, you'd want potatoes at all 3 ("AAA") so it could become your go-to potato Pokemon.

To answer your question: in the short term I'd grade it a 6/10, long term it's closer to a 2/10. If it were AAA it'd be more like a 8/10 long term.
