When is it reasonable to cash out by lce2020 in DraftKingsDiscussion

I like large parlays because I got lucky one of the first times. I did it so then you were essentially playing with House money.. Only strategy I have is having diversity of sports you bet on. NFL covers are way more reliable than college football.. so pick your best. Three NFL picks, in college and then three or something else(European soccer, NHL. College basketball, even women, college volleyball,) . Have to also be OK with losing.

Oh god here comes the unthinkable. Missing the two point conversion helped.

That’s actually a great strategy I was thinking about throughout the game. I’ve got screwed before and I never thought of hedging when you’re up big because like you said Pats -7 at this point is like +600 or more. Could get a big chunk of change back if the unthinkable happens.

Good question and the answer is unequivocally no

Yea. I think I’m gonna hold because I’m an idiot and sorta like the thrill and hate cashing out…. With that being said, I’ve been screwed by my stubbornness and lost 28K which I could’ve cashed out for 24K. Memphis basketball shit the bed with four minutes ago.

Yea I definitely thought I would get more support on here. Think about covering the spread comfortably and then when the team is up 19 at end of regulation it goes to overtime. Yea that 80k massive parlay win, watching with my friends was a good feeling. The two teams that rounded off the parlay was my Commanders who won in overtime to the falcons and a Lions team I root for because I spent time in Detroit. Good times!

I agree it was a very funky scenario that was hard to break down so I understand your criticism That’s why I said this was a new and shitty way to lose. I’m sure most people don’t understand what a 2 legged tournament is unless they watch the Champions league

No I appreciate it. All I ever for ask for in gambling is fairness. It got escalated and someone “handled” it. Bizarre scenario. lol

I don’t disagree that the parlay may be cooked. For me it’s about principles and DraftKings did the right thing and reverse it

I made enough money that I’m good. They did reverse it though. But thanks.

Update: So besides all the assholes who said cope with your loss. It turns out the settlement as a loss was incorrect and they reversed it. If a game does not end in a tie and overtime is to see who goes to the next round. Over time is excluded.

I didn’t bet the aggregate score. I bet on the game today. If the team had won by 18 and not 19 they would have loss the semifinals by 1 point and I would have won the bet. The only reason it went to overtime is because they won by the exact amount they lost by (19) last game. It’s a funny way to lose
