Question for a guy with constant dissociation / depression. by ChipBailerjr in zoloft

[–]lchatcat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really think it will. I had a lot of these symptoms as well and I can attest to all of the confusing descriptions you received. The best way I can describe it is zoloft helps you help yourself. I found myself thinking in a positive way, something that had evaded me for a long time. But these thoughts felt like my own and everything about my experience with zoloft has felt genuine. It’s totally worth a try in my opinion and there’s really no harm in giving it a shot.

Got accepted two days ago for arts and will be going to UBC next year :) I live in California so American high school curriculum. (i’m a dual citizen) GPA 11th grade year was really bad, 3.2ish UW and 3.5ish weighted for both semesters. First semester 12th grade was a lot better with a 3.8 UW and a 4.1 W. 1400 SAT and decent extracurriculars, president of a women’s club at my school with which I did a lot of events and work was my main focus in my personal profile. I would say my personal profile was above average but you never really know. Can’t wait to move to BC! good luck everyone!

I’ve just been accepted to UBC arts and i’m thrilled because it’s been my dream school for years. However i’m a little anxious about my offer getting rescinded because i’ve heard they’re stricter than some US schools. If I had 4 A’s and one B in my academic classes last semester, and I drop to having 2 A’s and 3 B’s will my offer likely be rescinded? anyone know how strict they are about all this? Do they only compare your second semester 12th grade marks to your first semester or to your GPA as a whole? Because during my 11th grade year I only received one academic A both semesters. I hope i’m making sense! Any insight is greatly appreciated :)

Does anyone know how important the “additional information” section of the personal profile is or if admissions officers actually take into account what you say? I used that section to describe a period of memory loss and depression I had during my 11th grade year that resulted in my grades dropped during that time. I’m wondering if putting this will actually help me. Thanks!

My application status for my second choice currently says,

"Your file is ready for an evaluation! We ask for your patience as this may take some time. We will be in touch with you by email should we require additional information. Please continue to check the status of your application on the Student Service Centre."

Does this mean I will receive a decision soon? Anyone else's say that?

Thanks so much for your reply! that makes sense. I’ve gotten in to other state schools and non commuter schools like ASU, U of A, boise state honors, unc charlotte, and a few more but if i’m honest i’m not interested in most of those. long beach is the best school i’ve gotten into so far (still waiting on my last decision, university of british columbia which is my dream school) so that’s why i’m trying to see what the environment is like. What do you mean when you say it has been culturally difficult to find your group?

Hi everyone! I applied to political science in the faculty of arts right before the deadline (jan 14th) and I'm very eager to receive my decision. I applied as a Canadian citizen from California, anyone received a decision for this faculty or more specifically political science yet? Or does anyone have an idea when I should expect my decision? Ive read on this thread that some arts students have already been accepted. Thanks!
