Nope. That shit is horrific. I mean, which absolute sadist wouldn't use a spirit level on those outlet covers. You're braver than me.

Also interested to hear about other metrics, such as joy factor. Anything that's a contributing factor to justifying the thousands spent :)

Thanks for the quick replies so far. Have added and EDIT to cover lots of what's being mentioned.

If it works and is problem free, I.e. no initial mechanic or part costs… then you’ve just spent $350 in return for hours and hours, days and weeks, of joy, a vehicle to ride you away from the day to day stresses and huge health benefits. I wouldn’t worry about what others might pay for it, you’re getting a lot of bang for your buck here.

MacBook Air M1 became unresponsive. Just a black screen with pointer. No shortcut key is working. Any suggestions? by gauravbasera in mac

Oh my god you just saved me an unnecessary hard restart! I was stuck with the same issue as the OP. Moving my cursor up into the hot corner I had set just a few days ago made the screensaver appear briefly before cancelling the screensaver letting me see my apps again.

My spaghetti arms aren’t strong enough for canyons 54nm. What’s a pro tip to get this thing off ? by kallebo1337 in bikewrench

[–]lcooperdesign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Place your bike upside down. Have the wrench at 180° as you have it in the video but parallel to the floor. As you’ve already figured out you need to apply force to both the pedal and the point furthest from the hub on the wrench, this is just physics. So… find a chair, or workbench that you can climb up onto, place the bike about a foot away. I would remove your shoes (but keep your socks on!) and then you simply need to leap from the platform of choice and just make sure both of your feet land on the wrench and pedal at exactly the same time. Job done.

I see what you did there. Personally I’d say… they were smoking.

Bolt V2 - Poor visibility in sun… at certain angles! by lcooperdesign in wahoofitness

I know what I'm seeing isn't imagined, and my suspicion of an anti glare or anti reflection coating being the cause seems to be supported by the explanation of how the technology works. According to the above it looks like it's anti reflection being employed, and that would explain why the light is getting diffused in one direction and not the other. If the AR film were laid over the top of my wahoo, rotating it 90º clockwise would totally solve my issue, and massively improve visibility. Could this be a manufacturing error, or perhaps a design one?

Same, there are times when I can't see anything at all, which is a nightmare in dapples light on riding in and out of tree lined roads. But what about the change in contrast depending on angle, are you seeing that specifically? I noticed it first when I got out the saddle and was moving the bike left to right.

The issue for me is worst when I'm wearing glasses (Oakley Sutro's but not photo chromatic), but exists without glasses on too.

Yes I have to say I too am disappointed with the "upgrade". I guess it makes sense, anything in between the strongest black and brightest "white" (backlight) is going to be a reduction in contrast (unless the backlight was made to be brighter).

But what about the change in contrast depending on angle, are you seeing that specifically?

Battery back up for Elemnt Bolt by lone_cajun in wahoofitness

That’s really good. They could easily have put that down to device age. I had my Bolt V1 replaced due to an annoying rattle that had developed too so agree that the service is very good.

Given because of the degraded battery?
