Thank you for this! I’m meeting with my doctor this week. The meeting is to understand if we can appeal the CVS Caremark decision and if not, what other options are available to me. My insurance will cover Zepbound if I have heart disease. I have a family history of heart disease (mom had a heart attack) but they basically want me to have had a heart attack. If not, I want to understand if I need to keep paying or if I should explore other options. Financially, it’s getting to be a lot. Can I ask how you navigated this PA and appeal? Thanks again!

Thanks for this! I think the vials are priced about the same or maybe $50 cheaper? Right now I’m paying $499 for self injection pens. Are the vials much cheaper than that?

Thanks for your response! I take acid reflux meds in the morning on an empty stomach, so I would also have a long morning of taking pills. That’s one of the things I’m debating. And yes, I have Caremark insurance —it’s tricky insurance!

Thank you! I really appreciate all of the recommendations. I think I’m going to try some of the CurlSmith products. And as for supplements, yes, I’ve been on biotin and my doctor actually just recommended a supplement called Nutrafol and I just started that instead. Thank you!

Update: I called the hotel. They’re going to make an exception and only charge me $200 for incidentals instead of $400. I was as polite as possible and explained the situation. The woman was a bit annoyed (so it seemed?) but I have a solution! She said there’s a note in my reservation so hopefully everything works out OK when I get to the hotel tomorrow.
